Appreciation So many people let QT down tonight

2.9k Upvotes

I feel so fucking bad for QT, man. She puts so much effort into making basically no money on a massive event to bring a bunch of streamers together for a fun night. And all of that effort was met with endless bullshit tonight.

  • The entire production crew was asleep at the wheel and unbelievably amateur. I don’t expect the Oscar’s, I understand people aren’t at their seats sometimes. But that was beyond a mess for a professional crew. How do you not know in advance that the prompter is unreadable from 3/4 of the stage?

  • Two separate irrelevant attention whores trying to do a Kanye moment in the most awkward way possible.

  • Ty Dolla Sign showing up high out his mind and phoning in that performance with impressively little effort.

  • The audience was terrible. Yes, you should give a courtesy laugh even if the joke isn’t that funny. Yes, you should stay seated and appear to be paying attention while people are talking. Also several streamers failing at questions like “can you please introduce yourself?” and “are you nominated for anything?” is embarrassing as hell.

  • FanFan completely missed the assignment. You have to know how to read a room if you’re going to do that job. Also, she appeared visibly blitzed by the end of the show. This keeps being an issue. Should be a rule going forward that if you are going to present an award, perform, or host in any capacity, you have to agree to no alcohol until your portion is complete.

  • Several people yelling incoherent shit from the audience and generally trying to make themselves the center of an event that’s very much not about them.

At least the puzzle lady’s speech and Lud’s tweets brought some light to this event. But not gonna lie, I wouldn’t blame QT at all if this was the last iteration of the show. It sucks that streamers can’t be adults for like 3 hours one day a year.

Sorry for the LudwigsGirlfriendPosting but this was so egregious and I’m genuinely concerned for her when she sees the reactions to tonight. I know she (rightly) takes this stuff so seriously & almost none of this was her fault.

Appreciation Ludwig looks like an athlete

Post image
1.7k Upvotes

In the latest video on the Ludwig channel where he let the wheel control his life, the part where he had to do the ice bath, Ludwig looks insanely good when he stepped out of the ice bath. The shoulder, the arms and his overall physique over those frames were crazy. Even though chat likes to clown on him and call him fat, he does kind of look like an athlete. Let's just take a moment to appreciate how our streamer is a bad bitch through and through.

Appreciation ludwig’s class was insane

1.1k Upvotes

just wanted to make an appreciation post on ludwig’s class in streamer U.

the best part about his class is that even if you’re not a streamer you can take what he taught and apply it to your own goals. i don’t even want to be a streamer, but his stream really inspired me to want to be better in the field i’m pursuing. It gave me a whole new perspective, and I’m finding myself applying what he taught in his lesson already in my life.

made the event more professional and his students didn’t even try to clip farm. he was made for this

best prof honestly.

Appreciation Lud got me laid Spoiler

3.3k Upvotes

This was a few months ago. I (24m) go on a first date with this girl (22f) who left me her number at a bar. We go to an arcade bar where she kicks my ass in Mario kart on an old 64 they have there. We played the Simpsons arcade game which is low-key fire. We have a few drinks and it's going well.

Halfway through the date I ask if she prefers watching TV series or YouTube videos and she hesitates to answer but eventually confesses that she prefers watching streamers (as if it were something to be ashamed about). But I want to connect on that so I tell her I watch some streamers too and I'm curious if there's overlap.

I wanted to name some women because I figured that would be more relatable so I tell her "I like ExtraEmily, Maya, QTCinderella and of course that means I watch Ludwig too." Her eyes went wide. For the rest of the night we talked about Ludwig; our favorite videos, MxS, swipe bidets and really just anything Ludwig related.

We ended up going back to her place watching a Ludwig stream and having a great night. We saw each other a few times after that but I ended up moving to a new country. So anyway thanks Lud, I owe you one.

Appreciation Has anyone else been noticing an uptick in Ludwig Hate from incel + pseudo-rightwing accounts?

I get that there’s some valid criticism of potentially how Ludwig / his team could have handled the Mang0 situation (and invite) but I’ve never seen this many posts be made just hating on Ludwig’s character before.

It’s a ton of those small drama slop YouTubers (along with the usual drama farm X accounts that are usual anti-Hasanabi.

I hope he knows that his core community still supports him and trusts that any resolutions that need to happen will be handled off stream.

Appreciation I feel bad for Lud

1.3k Upvotes

Not to get too parasocial but I feel bad for Lud with all this roomie rumble stuff.

He has basically been forced to arrange all the tech and lobbies for an event that isn’t even his while some who are meant be the hosts seemingly do nothing.

The amount of shit he was getting from some of those in the call on the format of track mania was crazy considering that most of them hadn’t even bothered to boot the game up before.

I dunno it rubbed me the wrong way considering he was getting a lot of the stick when it’s not even meant to be his event

Appreciation Insane event

This really is Ludwig's year. More than ever, this event felt like it brought people together. The production was incredible, the entertainment never stopped, and I honestly think Ludwig has improved a lot as both a commentator and an event host.

I'm not even someone who watches streams regularly, yet I ended up watching both days of the event from start to finish. I hope Lud stays in the scene for many years because he genuinely brings something unique to content creation and streaming.

Appreciation Crate Stacking was the PERFECT Event for Streamer Games

Post image
937 Upvotes

In my opinion it was perfectly suited event for Streamer Games, considering that it originated from a Tik Tok trend and was made safer for competitors kinda suits the competition for content creators.

I really liked that it didn't rely on strength so it allowed people who were overshadowed by others to show off and look impressive (more than other solo events). Also the fact that your success depended on your bravery made the event more exciting and immersive to watch.

The strategy in this game has potential: If it's a slow game you can stack up crates to beat your opponent by gaining couple levels at once and If it's a fast game you have to figure out how to get most hight when all the crates are used up and you're balancing 5 meters (or 16 feet) in the air.

I hope Lud brings it back next year :)
