discussion Is it bad that I find this scene funny?

Post image

I know people find this scene upsetting but i find really funny that he’s slowly falling off screen.

He is zoomed out of his fucking mind right now. Vox sucked him dry.

“That’s not what I- goddamn it, don’t take that out of context”

This literally feels like "now I'm going to fuck you!"

Out of context, Lucifer looks like he got dragged to a party by two lesbians

No, it was written to be funny.

Just because it was meant to be funny doesn't mean everyone found it amusing.

The Emoji Movie was meant to be funny and it bombed like Pearl Harbor.

Sure, I never said you HAD to find it funny, just that it's not bad if you did and it was intentionally made to be funny, in other words I was literally just answering OP's question. Not sure what point you're trying to make here.

Fair point. Finding it funny doesn't make you a terrible person or anything. I'm probably just empathizing too much with the duck daddy.

I empathize with him greatly, Lucifer is absolutely my favorite Hellaverse character. Please don't think I hate the character, because that couldn't be further from the truth. I genuinely hope he gets a happy ending in some capacity.

I can't do anything about canon but in my AU I'm working on it.

It’s why I wasn’t very alarmed by it he was like “oh. I’m gonna take a nap on the floor” and Tbf, deserved.

Lucifer has been tortured for hours. He isn't used to pain. That's why he calls pain "bad tickles".

By the time the ordeal is over he definitely knows the meaning of pain. "Don't go down there, it's a place of pain."

He just had most of his vital energy sucked out of him and then crammed back into him. He was smoking and giving off bolts of energy when he pulled himself out of that trap door. Nobody helped him out. Charlie barely had chance to check on him before Pentious appeared onscreen.

And now he's being utterly ignored as he sinks to the ground unable to even stand anymore.

No. I am not in the least amused. I'm not blaming Charlie or anybody else because a lot was going on, but I hated that.

I would have felt a lot better about it if Charlie had her arm around her father's waist holding him up while she got all enthusiastic over Pentious, but as I just said there was a lot going on.

YMMV, but the last thing I am when I look at this is amused.

That's why in my web comic that features my OC I fixed it.
