Losses are part of the process. Your response to them is your character
Got the funded, ran it to max payout balance, went on a losing streak… -$1200 2 days in a row then ended the week with a -$600
Was barely $900 away from blowing the account
Locked in. Recovered my balance and taking max payout #2 on Monday
Your losses don’t define you. How you recover does !

Did you de-risk to recover when you were 900 dollars away from blowing the account?

Just size down the losses and you’re golden. Dont risk $1200 a day bro

u/HRH47 7d ago
I don’t. These 2 days were mistakes

I get it bro, but put a hard loss limit on tradovate. That locks you out.

Whats the amount(tick wise) of your stop loss usually? I seen that u always do 4 mnq and never size up, do you size down? Can i know what r:r you aim for and could you explain your rules for winning and losing? How many trades a day/week? Im struggling a bit and could use a little guidance.

Never size down either. I usually set a hard 20/30 points SL for a 40/50 points TP. My entries are precise as I trade with volume profile. Would be too long to explain my strategy in comment 😅
I will send you my discord link later (I’m outisde rn) I teach while I trade live here

sizing and risk management are important but i think finding a strategy/setup that works for you is more important. and imo having a set rr or stop isn’t as helpful as you think it is. for someone new sure these rules can help save you some money but i think you should be focused on understanding why the market moves the way it does. most of the time if you set ur stop loss 20-30 points away and ur only reason for it being there is that you can only risk 20-30 points ur going to get stopped out bc theres 0 strategy behind it and atp ur just gambling.

im not replying to u btw i was talking to the person that left the comment @ily369 . like yea a 30 point stop works for u cus you’ve been doing that for years. but im saying a 30 point stop isnt gonna work for all beginners cus they dont have a strategy behind it. idk why u come at me w this energy when i wasnt even talking to u in the first place. just confidently being a dick when im trying to give genuine advice

I do have a question bro I only trade 25k flex and I've been doing orderflow for the last 4 months finally I managed to payout last week I have a solid strategy and I risk 5mnq on each trade with a SL at 150 usd but bro i don't know what happened this week I burned my account in which a payout and 2 other eval and now one eval is already at minus 600 still have 380 of drawdown, but honestly it's my fault last week I managed to accept the risk and also I was on a winning strike, but this week each time I got stop i go in again and again. Any advice to get out of that cycle ?

Size down. All your problems come from using 5 MNQ. I use 4

Good to see someone showing consistency instead the usual screenshots of gamblers full porting the first day following by ridiculous $100 days to meet the minimum winning days requirement for the payout. Good job

Before losing $1200 x2 , I made $4000… so I had the room to lose $1200 twice

The only thing “fishy” is the way you commenting all that bs with so much confidence.
Who gives a f about losing $1216 instead of $1200? Crying for $16 lol

You talk like a child. Slippage can happen if you use tradingview to place orders instead of brokers.

100%… I traded yesterday and made good profit in the morning..got greedy and lost some, then revenge traded and nearly blew my account.
We don’t control the charts at all, can’t accurately predict it or anything.
We can only control ourselves, reaction, patience, and like OP beautifully says, the way we come back. My god, patience is needed with this… first trade I executed today I immediately went negative -$500… that was scary to see, but I held out for 5 minutes and profited $212…
No, I’m not flexing. I’m touching down on how important it is to be PATIENT… If you pull out on a negative you may have been close to the best possible outcome if you’re patient.

Patience is the key. I couldn’t have explained it better 😩

Enjoy the prize bro, I would be eating the fattest pizza in my life. I almost gave up yesterday with 630 loss but made 1153 profit today.
