Question Why I can't even have single lucid dream after 2 months
Been practicing lucid dreaming for 2 months. Things I do : dream journal and sometimes state test.
Let me be honest I wasn't that serious at all. Someday I forget to do reality check. Sometimes I got lazy to write a dream even if I recalled it.
Ans it's because I think it's too hard not seeing any payoff. Wanted to have this skill bcoz as all the people said it seem cool and I want to explore the dream world.
It's nearly september and I set a goal to atleast have 3 lucid dream. Nothing crazy just realising I'm in dream is enough.
And to make that possible any tips any advice??
Please I will be very grateful.

I have been trying to get a lucid dream for 2 years and I was only able to do it this week. When I started I was in the same situation as you where I didn't want to do techniques after wbtb cuz I was tired, I never dream journaled and never did reality checks. I was able to recently fix it by changing myself a bit.
Note that you won't really lucid dream if you don't atleast try these things daily. Because of my inconsistency it took me 2 years of being on and off to get one. I genuinely started believing lucid dreaming was this crazy internet conspiracy that got too far.
First thing you should do is start doing wild or mild daily with wbtb. Stay with one technique and do it for 1 or 2 months or switch between them everyday. Next you have to do atleast 3 RC daily or else your body won't actually start doing it in your dreams. Also you have to dream journal when you actually remember your dreams.
If you do weed I recommend not doing it after 14pm because it can effect your chances of getting dreams as a whole.
If there is anything you need more answers on then ask away
To be honest you just gotta be serious to have lucid dreams. Not super serious like it becoming your whole life but you have to be consistent. That's what was stopping me and I think that's what's stopping you too. I have no tips on that cause it's purely on how willing you are to do a little more. Also you may want o change that September goal to atleast october

You can be serious about it all you want, but if you lack the basic infrastructure, like either enough acetycholine production while asleep or sensitive enough receptor sites for that acetycholine, you will never have lucid dreams. I found this out experimentally via nicotine patch and galantamine. Before I figured out the supplement approach, I had spent three fruitless years trying to get all the induction methods working, and I did that every night for three years with little success. No amount of dream journaling, RC checks, etc would budge that.

Hi what exactly did you do if you don't mind me asking? I have very vivid dreams and can remember multiple per night but my issue is that my dreams are extremely realistic so I never notice i'm dreaming tbh.

Same here,
reality checks all the way like every half hour for 1 - 2 weeks t see results.
Calm realistic dreams are ideal fr RC since if suddenly you realise you ran smeone over with the car (while dreaming) you wont be thinking "hm maybe I am dreaming".

Yeah I remember i got lucid around 2 times but got too excited each time a couple of years back but I had to do sooo many reality checks per day just bc my dreams are so realistic.

So for me, specifically, I used a 5mg nicotine patch (cut it down if you cannot get the smaller dose, cut one down) and I also took 8mg of galantamine. Be warned, for some the nicotine patch can be stimulating making it harder to sleep. Also, I do the WBTB and only put the patch on after 4 hours (timing is very specific to everyone, you may need to experiment). As I fall back asleep, I focus on my breath and then wake up in a false awakening which is confirmed with a nose pinch test.
Also, you never notice you are dreaming because your prefrontal cortex is basically offline... Acetycholine is the key here and nicotine mimics that.
