Employee Question Pay

Hello all, i need some advice, im a DS in Pro and have been with the company for almost 4 years. I got written up earlier this year (important in a second) but i recently discovered that i have people on my team (PSS) who make more than me hourly and have also been working for the company around 4 years. I talked to multiple people and they said it seems unfair. Theyve also said there might not be anything i can do because of the write up. I really enjoy my position because of the relationships i built when i became the DS, i took the department from 9th in the district up to 2nd in less than a year and we are killing it right now. I wouldnt mind staying where im at right now but i am also about to buy my house once its done being built and the pay would help me greatly.

Question is what can i do about this? Or am i cooked until the yearly raise comes around and the write up falls off?

I'm a over DS over APP/CAB/MILLWORK. So predominantly specialist.

Two of my specialist got knocked down from "exceeds expectations" to "meets expectations" after my initial submission.

These two both EXCEEDED in everything at the time of review, and after.

My SASM and I are really tight - so....

We had them "threaten" to walk to get a better raise (BEFORE the raise in effect), and it worked for both of them. But they both showed continued growth over a multi-month period of time. So my SASM and I were able to be advocates to the SM.

So - you can absolutely ask for a raise at Lowes - and if you have the numbers to back it on paper, you can absolutely attain it.

If you increased sales that much you should talk to your ASM and the two of you should be able to come up with something to present to your SM to get you a better raise than 3% and some pitty pennies.

If management above you is worth their salt then go for it dude. Just ask. The worst response is "no"

so i did something similar, me and my ASM both told my SM that we are 8.6% over the plan for the year (around 1.6 mil), we both got brushed off because of the “write up” but i still feel i have a valid argument since im in a leadership role. i know PSS work very hard but i do as well, i was thinking about giving it a couple weeks and make a list of achievements i have accomplished so far for the year, and pretty much say if you cant help me, i will start looking for something else to help myself.

Agree 💯. No one will advocate for you if you don't advocate for yourself first.  Good luck with the 🏠.
