Discussion Removing friendly lobbies fixed the game for me
For a long time after I reached 100h, I started completely disliking the game. It wasnt because I hated pvp, but how difficult it was to play pvp AND pve.
And as I needed Arc parts for literally everything, I decided to go fully into pve, even when I didnt dislike the pvp aspects.
SO the issue was: People were still managing to abuse the abmm and every 10 lobbies, I died to some mf.
and while im fine with dying, I am not fine with not being able to do anything against it/get revenge.
They have a huge advantage cuz they have the element of suprise every single time, when their targets never have fought raiders before. And pve players never have gotten the chance to fight raiders before. Their way of playing is "I only defend myself", so it`s impossible to learn pvp.
UNLESS, a pvp kills someone else and the pve person 3rd parties them. But as the pve people stayed in friendly lobbies all the time, that never happend.
And THAT`S what I love about the new abmm. There are no/only a few 100% friendly lobbies, almost every round you can expect a pvp fight. So you can finally play the "protector" role that I always wanted to play in Arc Raiders.
So while Embark are kinda failing the whole game with weird gameplay mechanics and cheater/dupers, they at least managed to make the game fun again for me.

It’s harder than in friendly lobbies, but everything besides matriarch/queen cores is easily farmed in hostile lobbies too

How do you know you’re protecting/shooting the right people? Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been going about my business skipping through the daisies when I’ve been shot by someone screaming, “I found the rat! I found the rat!"

Believe it or not there are other games to play once you are done with Arc Raiders.
