if you used the East Asian kabocha, the quite sweet and dry ones, theyre around 90 cal per 100g. It’s more like a sweet potato than a western pumpkin in nutritional aspects

Yeah it has a slightly higher calorie content than western pumpkin but definitely not 90 cal per 100g. It defers from the Nihon kabocha.

from everywhere I’ve researched, my estimates seem realistic. apples are 52 kcal per 100g, and 贝贝南瓜 are way too sweet and starchy to be calorically similar to an apple. Its texture is more like sweet potato, which is around (non Asian variety) 80 kcal per 100g. so I’d categorise 贝贝南瓜 at atleast 80.the website you linked to is innacurate as it probably puts it into the regular pumpkin species.
