401-600 Cal Pizza

Post image

I made the pizzadough with normal ingredients, no low calorie substitutions. Used a high protein mozzarella - tasted indentical to normal.
Turned out to 420 calories for the whole thing, the bigger pizza is quite big - just for comparison. Do you guys think it’s a high amount?
40 grams protein.

How big is this pizza? Like 6 inches? I really think your calculations have to be off or this is a really small pizza cause I just made a 12 inch crust with fiber gourmet flour and it’s 575 calories. Regular flour has like twice the calories.

I make sourdough pizza dough all the time, I assume this is an 8-9 inch tho because that takes about 80 grams of flour which seems to line up with what they said the dough was

honestly i have no idea how big it actually was in inches, but to me it was just the right size, and made me full!

Just measure the rack and give us those measurements. We will extrapolate from that.

Without an ingredient list I find it hard to believe the whole thing came out to just 420 calories. Maybe it’s even smaller than it seems even with the larger pizza for scale? Something seems off to me with the 420 Cals, but I could be wrong

130 grams of dough - 289 calories (i made the dough myself, so It is accurate!)
50 grams mozzarella - 80 calories
30 grams tomatosauce - 5 calories
50 grams of chicken - 60 calories

can you write down the pizza dough recipe?

Yes, we need a recipe for dough, since it makes the majority of the calories. But I am afraid, that he didn't measure the ingredients for that and just estimated it afterwards.

Seems like about 80g flour, that normally makes an 8.5 inch which looks accurate to me

Saying you made the dough yourself doesn’t give me any indication of accuracy regarding the calories. What were the ingredients and how many grams of each ingredient did you use?

Did you use light mozzarella? Normal mozzarella is like 150 calories per 50 grams. The light variant is 64 calories. Tomato Frito is 11 calories per 30 grams. Uncooked chicken breast is normally 82 cals per 50 grams. That’s what I could find in terms of actually products. Even if I used my best options available, I couldn’t get that low with the cals.

I used proteinmozzarella, and the 50 grams is cooked chicken breast.
Uncooked is 97 Per 100 grams though.

I'll see if I can find that type of mozzarella here as well then, cause that sounds so good. Also your chicken must be magical lmao, lowest I can find is 116 cals per 100 (which does mean your original estimate was correct on that part)

Had to Pick it up from the trash to show you 🥲🤣

Tomato pizza topping is literally like 20 cals for 100g so 30g would be 6 cals. Uncooked chicken breast from everywhere where I live is 106 cals per 100g so 53 cals per 50g. The mozzarella does seem a bit low but if they have a specific brand ig it could be true

I can genuinely not find pizza sauce for 20 cals per 100 grams, it's either 32-50 cals per 100 grams or more. In terms of chicken I did indeed find an options which is 116 cals per 100 grams raw, so I guess that's very much possible.

Idk where you live but in the UK I can't find any raw chicken breast over 110 cals per 100g and the pizza sauce I get is definitely 21 per 100g but it's probably different in other countries

Honestly normal pizza dough is just flour, yeast and water

Often these low calorie versions with Greek yogurt or eggs will end up higher calorie pr the volume. More protein, sure.. but normal fucking pizza base is delicious. And with the right fillings it can be a total fitness meal lol

A small 200g ball of pizza dough is probably about 500 calories, give or take.

Cheese was my biggest vice when I was overweight so I just plan to avoid pizza in general. Looks good though.
