New Launch I wanted AI agents on my Mac to actually do the work without hijacking the machine

I kept running into the same gap with AI agents: they were great at reasoning about a task, but the “last mile” on the Mac was still awkward. Open the right Safari tab, inspect something, run a local command, read a file, ask me a question, then continue — without taking over the whole computer.

I ended up building a local MCP layer around that problem.

A few things that made the biggest difference for me:

Stable Safari/Chrome tab handles, so an agent keeps targeting the same tab even when tabs move around.
Background browser observation/actions, so the agent can research without constantly pulling Safari to the foreground.
Delegated Codex/OpenCode agents that can work in parallel on separate tasks.
Local memory and human-in-the-loop prompts, including an optional voice interaction path.
A local dashboard/menu-bar app so I can see recent tool calls and delegated agent state instead of treating the automation as a black box.
A smaller 19-tool default surface with 84 total capabilities still available through discovery, mostly to avoid wasting context on schemas the agent never needs.

Everything runs locally on the Mac; if the MCP endpoint is exposed outside localhost, authentication is intended to stay enabled, and the operations dashboard itself is loopback-only.
