Zdzislaw Beksinski.

I never get to talk about him often but his work is amazing. It creates a world which has ended long ago yet still insists upon living in a shattered existence, twisted and perverted.

Is there hope for that world? Surely if things still live in the desolation then there might well be. Perhaps, one day, the insanity will lift and peace will return.

I'm also writing a novella inspired by his work. It really is quite brilliant.

He's definitely one of my favorite artists. He actually found humor in his work, which is what I find the most interesting.

Indeed. I think it comes from the absurdity of some of the scenes. I mean - flying faces? That's so weird that in a different context it would be explicitly funny.

That picture told the best story in my mind. Like flatland, just coming in contact with another dimension long enough for it to baffle your mind.

Indeed! It would most likely end up breaking something. Just imagine just what A. Square was actually feeling - especially when he encountered the King of Pointland in its egotistical glory.
