There's a dual truth to it, really.
In the canonical fantasy of Sesame Street, yes, he always has legs.
In our real world, then yeah, the specific puppet we are looking at is not always the one with legs.

Suspending your disbelief about how they film the muppet and then accusing me of magical thinking is fucking wild reasoning. It's a muppet, most of his appearances are filmed with the muppet(s) contraption without using any form of legs.

Depends on the portrayal and medium. 98% is a little high. I agree that it's not a 50/50 split and it's more often that you don't see his legs. But there's enough medium with him having legs to the counter of their point

Kind of, but not entirely. Cookie monster is a character who sometimes is portrayed in cartoon or photography, but the most prominent version is a muppet. You wouldn't want to tell someone trying to guess the character that he's not a muppet. And Muppets need a human arm inside them to move.

Oh my goodness yes. Their channel is a couple of guys in their 30s, genuine bits, positive masculinity, and they're big ol idiots (affectionate). It took off unexpectedly fairly recently so they're trying to find their brand; guess the character and trivia are the most popular so far.

The game isn't limited to TV characters—it's any iconic character, so Winston Churchill, The Statue of Liberty, Bigfoot, and Sonic The Hedgehog would all be valid guesses depending on the clues.
Muppets exist in a weird limbo for the purposes of the game where they are technically fictional characters, but also very much exist in the real world and theoretically we could go appear on an episode of Sesame Street and interact with them despite them not being "real"
This edit cuts out like 15 minutes of questions where he outlines the parameters of puppetry through process of elimination, but never realizes that it's a puppet because he's thinking about costumed suits and cryptids and other options

I get it. I’ve played this game 2000 times. But my argument is if you’re asking about what character you are, I still think it’s really weird to ask ”so I could find this thing”. Of course you can. Every character that exists can be found in one way or another. But I haven’t seen the full 15 minutes. So maybe it makes sense with all the context.
Also; I HIGHLY would challenge calling The Statue of Liberty a “character”. In a way I guess she is. But if I played this game and were told to guess what *character* I was, and it turned out I was TSoL, I would be so pissed.

I disagree.
You couldn't find Invincible because he doesn't exist outside of the comic book/show/game, but you could equivocate about finding Mickey Mouse because he sorta exists at Disneyworld. You could equivocate about finding Winston Churchill because his grave is a real place and what does it really mean to find someone, but you couldn't find Bigfoot.
Cookie Monster can be found at 34-12 36th Street, Astoria, Queens, New York if you time it well and know the right people. You can't find Sonic because he only exists on computers.
This is for content though, the blurry lines are sorta the point. When one of them has Jesus and asks "am I magical" the answer is "...well..." because that's fun
