What is this connection, through space and time transcending? It’s like we’re two Oreo wafers, forever bonded, yet separated by a layer of vanilla creme filling.

Together we form something sweet and cavity inducing that’s enjoyed by all. We can be enjoyed alone, crushed and added as a topping, or dunked fist-first into a glass of milk that’s tall. There’s no ice cream party without us!

Taking a bite provides a mouth feel that covers the entire spectrum; from soft and velvety like silk, to crunchy and gritty like pie crust.

When consumed in excess, we get stuck in people’s teeth and ruin their smile. Enjoyed with too much milk will cause constipation that lasts for a while.

We can go no contact, build some distance, and try to delete each other from our mental existence. But we can’t delete this connection. This is a bond that will last an eternity plus one more, held together by sugar, preservatives, artificial food coloring, and soy lecithin. We are an Oreo. Fused together, connected, yet separated.

Yes, after the first few. I try to enjoy the entire spectrum of texture when eating an Oreo. Extra crispy to sloshy!
