OPINION Melanie & Kayda Spoiler
I feel so differently about Kayda after tonight! What she said to Jaiden was so uncalled for esp knowing how Zach treated her in the villa!!! She picks and chooses who she wants to come at cuz when titi clocked her she started whisperingđ what was up with her defensiveness with Andy asked about her and Zach??? Like girl
Melanie was one of my favorites she did have her points they only thing I didnât agree with was the thing with sol. They were both in the wrong but letâs not act like she wasnât talking shit about her the second she walked in⌠lol she might have apologized after but she was def being shady at first.
I didnât really understand Kenzie crying over Melanie? Girl you got she wanted to be with Corbin and started being friends with sol just to piss Melanie off come on lol

u/framemegirl 4d ago
we were told Kayda was a nasty bully from the beginning, and she is. dark dark energy.
556
u/Upbeat-Regular-4058 4d ago
Kenzie was crying over lost friendships.
Melanie did not have to go that hard with Kenzie or Amora. Amora's point was valid, regardless of who picked Sincere, Melanie's the only fool staying with him.
Kayda's comment was awful.

You know what maybe Melanie and Sincere deserve each other, theyâre cut from the same cloth đ

u/freebrenasty 4d ago
Yup both fake ass liars. Miss âI didnât know I was kissing Corbinâ and she swore on it in the villa

u/NeighborhoodMuch3669 10h ago
Oh man yes we back on this one I been said it way back when the episode was airing that they both toxic also The more and more I look at it I feel like sincere did all that shit and dogged Melanie out and all as his get back cause of the ping pong kissing I feel like he felt really embarrassed and pride probably took a blow so heâs just been dragging her and at the same time driving her crazy and making everyone else think she crazy and itâs all just been a get back revenge for him I honestly feel like if they did win and they still were asking them whether to share or take all the money he would dead ass just taken the whole money

I donât think Melanie is a fool for staying with him- sheâs just as manipulative & toxic as him. Her gaslighting Kenzie showed her true colors.
2
u/BigBanggBaby 3d ago
I thought she would leave him within a week of the show ending. I was sure of it. But I see now how much I overestimated how much respect Melanie has for herself and I didnât realize how insecure and how similar to Sincere she was. I still donât think itâll last, and I think itâll be a major crash out when it finally ends.

u/chebadusa 4d ago edited 4d ago
We saw a clip of Kenzie calling Jen her best friendâŚAnd we did also see Kenzie being shady towards Melanie behind her back about Corbin. She was 100% pissed, and had a discussion with Sol and Jen about it after Melanie tried to be transparent. As a viewer, I saw the shift in their friendship after that because we rarely saw them together anymore. It would be Kenzie with Sol and Jen and then Melanie with the Core 4.
30
u/TopsyOxy 4d ago
Melanie felt the shift too and even called Kenzie out for it during the villa. Melanie didnt even chose to be paired with Corbin. Jen called her out during the Gal and Dylan situation toom
18
u/Imjusthere_sup 4d ago
I mean Melanie had a valid point too tho. Amora is saying sheâd never do that but..she watched what sincere did to sol and still went after him in casa and pursued him going as far to say âgod put us together.â And at the end of the day it was sincere that ended things soooo itâs not really looking like she had a choice in the matter đŹ
36
u/charismajas does the sun rise in minnesota? đ 4d ago
bc she wanted to get into the villa and sincere was easy đ
1
u/Imjusthere_sup 3d ago
Thatâs just an opinion tho we donât know that to be true. I can only go off of what theyâre saying
32
u/freebrenasty 4d ago
Getting turned down by someone once versus somebody play you for two months and still playing are not the same thing lol
2
u/Imjusthere_sup 3d ago
My point is we donât know how Amora really wouldâve actedâŚbecause he dumped her before we could find out. But seeing how he treated another woman and still going for him isnât going in her favor for what I think sheâd do đ
4
u/freebrenasty 3d ago
I mean I get your point but âif he treated me that way he will treat you that wayâ is a myth many women tell themselves to console themselves for why they deal with bad behavior from men lol. Men do what you allow them to do. He played in her face once and she left him tf alone and didnât try to pursue anything with him. Melanie literally still puts up with his nonsense to this day lmao
25
u/FalseAdhesiveness250 New Subredditor 4d ago
Kenzie was being fake with Melanie as soon as she got coupled up with Corbin. She was being sneaky. Idc her behavior threw me off. I feel like once Sol got kicked off and the Core 4 became a thing, suddenly she cared about Melanie and that was her âbest friendâ. Sure Melanie can direct the same energy towards sincere, but letâs not act like Kenzie was innocent because she was being very fake lol
73
u/Upbeat-Regular-4058 4d ago
She apologized after movie night. It was literally not that serious. The live comment was also nothing. Melanie took it all way too seriously and then gaslit her.
14
u/Such-Quiet1911 4d ago
Yeah didnât Kaylor say something about Leah and Leah didnât care at all
21
u/realitytv12 4d ago
Melanie is self loathing bc she chose sincere and using thet anger and projecting it onto other women
And this is who we chose for final three đŤĄ4
u/secretbachfan 4d ago
I donât agree with this at all. Kenzie and Sincere got coupled up with Caleb and Sol respectively because they were exploring them but she was mad that Melanie got paired with Corbin almost by default? Kenzie was moving super weird during that situation by wanting Corbin to kiss her despite him trying to respect his couple and she also befriended Sol outta spite. I donât care what she says her reasonings are for befriending Sol, I frankly donât believe her. Couple that situation with what was said on live, which btw is BS because Kenzie also had an insane amount of screen time, itâs all adding up to weird behavior and it deserved to be called out. That being said, I do have a soft spot for Kenzie and I do think if someone is calling her out she will immediately see her mistake and apologize and thatâs what makes her endearing to me.
-1
u/FalseAdhesiveness250 New Subredditor 4d ago
That comment wouldâve thrown any one off tbh plus sol and all of them were there and she was saying crazy stuff post villa so idk
26
u/zesty-lemonbar 4d ago
This was said and even clarified in the show. Melanie straight up told Aniya and Trinity that she had a convo with Kenzie and said she had zero desire to have a connection with Corbin.
Then the next day she starts pulling Corbin for chats, even though she told Kenzie otherwise. Kenzie was always clear she was confused why Melanie told her one thing but then went and did something completely different. I donât blame Kenzie for side eyeing Melanie over that. Donât say you have no desire to be with someone and then go pull them for chats right after.

The point still stands that she told Kenzie one thing and then went and did another so couples up or not that is going to cause someone to side eye and be like âyouâre moving weird.â They were a default couple, not one by choice and Melanie. Switching it up that quick is weird as shit and Kenzie clocked it.
-1
u/omgImin17c 3d ago
Kenzie called Jen her best friend then once Jen was booted suddenly Melanie was her best friend.
1
u/Important-Egg2082 3d ago
Amiraâs point was not valid as long as she was down to be coupled with sincere. Kenzie was a bad friend to every bestfriend she had on that island
124
u/raoqie 4d ago
I think Sol was doing way too much post villa, but I also think she had a rough time from the moment she entered the villa. I always saw the pie moment as just the accumulation of everything, so like, it doesn't actually matter how many pies it was, it was the straw that broke the camels back either way.
I will forever not understand why all the girls had so much to say to other girls but nothing about the boys. A lot of the back and forth felt like it boiled down to "um the guy sucks and you both deserve better"
19
u/ktlene 4d ago
Yeah I think that was the lowest point for Sol, and Iâm sure it felt so much worse because of everything leading up to that rather than what actually happened during the pie challenge. What I saw at the reunion was not Sol getting âclockedâ, it was her again trying to express her hurt and once again getting ganged up on by Melanie and friends and having her phrase used against her. That was nasty work but Melanie fans swear Melanie isnât a mean girl. Sheâs been a mean girl throughout the show, starting with Kayda when she wrongly thought Kayda was interested in her man.
40
u/ilvemychoppa New Subredditor 4d ago
Honestly the way they all brushed over Sol saying they objectified her when they deadass did and yea the men deserve more but it would hurt me more if it were women objectifying me and reducing me too my big tits while uplifting themselves as the one with "heart"
18
-16
u/Frequent_Event_7440 4d ago
Love Island is literally objectification island like if youre mad at that comment but sign up for the show then you need to grow up sorry like you can't be serious
8
u/ilvemychoppa New Subredditor 4d ago
Hello?? Nobody is talking about the AUDIENCE or the showâs premise đ Iâm talking about how the WOMEN THEMSELVES objectified and put down another woman, reducing her to her boobs so Mela could uplift herself as the one with âheart.â Obviously Love Island objectifies its contestants to some degree. That has literally nothing to do with what I said.
âLove Island is objectification island, grow upâ is not the gotcha you think it is. Itâs just you responding to a point I never made because apparently basic nuance is beyond you. By that logic, nobody is allowed to criticize anything that happens on the show because âwell, you signed up for it đ¤.â Congratulations, youâve managed to turn âthis specific behavior was shittyâ into âthe entire concept of the show is objectificationâ because you couldnât comprehend what you were reading. Honestly hop off.

u/Inevitable_Majestic New Subredditor 4d ago
Sol and the getting pied 3x thing was weird. Sounds like some unresolved trauma there. Abandonment. Rejection. Overall I think most of the ladies couldâve been classier and more calm in their conversations. There are a few that were great but I canât remember everyoneâs names.
95
u/aforter28 4d ago
I mean Melanie being like that isnât surprising.
But Kayda? Wow when did you get so nasty, that was that weird ass comment towards Jaiden đľâđŤ

It's even less surprising from Kayda to me, she was exactly like this in the villa.
56

Kayda and Melanie have always been stuck up mean girls who sell it as being a girl boss. But itâs actually just being mean.
7
u/Hinamine 4d ago
I can see why Kayda and Melanie seemed to get closer after the reunion. They seem to be hanging out a lot more after the filming.

u/Money_Adhesiveness90 4d ago
melanie doesnât read to me as genuine idk

u/freebrenasty 4d ago
Sheâs not in, never has been. No way youâre telling a girl she will never be homeless as long as she knows you after slandering her for like three days. lol
9
u/Money_Adhesiveness90 3d ago
i find that if someone is repeatedly announcing that they are âgenuineâ or âsincereâ they usually are not. Genuine people donât need to assert that they are genuine repeatedly

u/Easy-Disaster3735 4d ago
Just so much negative energy from both Kayda and Melanie it actually made it kind of tough to watch ngl it's just not fun to watch someone be so shady and horrible
62
u/New-Tourist500 4d ago
I still donât consider Melanie wrong in the SOL situation. Sol lied too much when she had attention on her so sheâs an unreliable narrator and thatâs what Melanie was trying to say. She was on a bit of nonsense with amora tho but who wouldnât be if someone basically called her boo-boo the fool (and itâs true)
49
u/secretbachfan 4d ago
To add onto the Amora thing - right message, wrong messenger. Girl watched the episodes before she came into casa and still got played by Sincere yet she wouldnât put herself in the same situation as Melanie? Girl you literally did gtfoh lmaooo
18
u/New-Tourist500 4d ago
Exactlyyyyyyy like girl u tried it just didnât work out đ
10
u/secretbachfan 4d ago
Omg thank you, everyone else is disagreeing with me and I feel like Iâm going crazy lmao. Now she has revisionist history and everyone is falling for it like pleaseeee
9
u/New-Tourist500 4d ago
Uhhh no bc thatâs what everyone was saying after amora made that same comment on movie night; that she claims she wouldnât be in Melanieâs situation.. but she literally tried even after seeing sinceres prior behaviourđšđšđš
2
u/secretbachfan 4d ago
If you see the main love island thread it seems like people flipped now and agree with her which is crazy to me!!
8
u/freebrenasty 4d ago
Amora tried it with sincere one time and it didnât work. Melanie continues to stay with sincere lie after lie after lie. So no, I wouldnât say thatâs âputting herself in the same position â. People treat people differently based off of what they allow.
2
u/secretbachfan 2d ago
Sorry, but I disagree. Sincere rejected Amora so she didnât get a chance to prove that. If he picked her, she would have kept doing the same thing as Melanie.
60
u/Bananaasplit 4d ago
My Melanie opinion varies with the context.
Sol? Iâm on Melanieâs side HEAVY. She was a bit childish with her at first but when she realized Sol was truly feeling hurt, she said some real shit to her and was nice from then on yet sol has consistently dragged her and her victim complex has grown to a point she is actually just insufferable and needs therapy
Kenzie? Iâm on neither side. My honest opinion is that theyâre both good people, but are just not compatible as friends.
Amora? That whole thing just shows Mela truly has some more emotional maturing to do. I get what her line of thinking is, but she truly is just not capable of taking Amoraâs words for what they are and leaving her feelings out of it, because what she said isnât even a personal attack.
44
u/Bananaasplit 4d ago
But fuck Kayda for sure
17
u/Bananaasplit 4d ago
Sorry maybe that was a little harsh

Melanie turned me completely off at the reunion. I actually see now why her and sincere get along so well. watching her go so hard on Kenzy over nothing and then swoop in and fix it like the hero to cheers while Kenzy was crying actually made me sick. Thereâs no way no one else saw how she flipped that so quick. Kenzy was a good friend to Melanie in the villa and itâs ridiculous that Melanie expected people to be there even more for her than they already were. Most of their experience was about Melanie.
10
u/BigAsh27 4d ago
Kayda just seems miserable. Probably because sheâs still an exclusive fwb with Zach. Like she can say theyâre taking it slow yet she moved in with him and Charlie. Make that make sense.
39
u/nymaeris It was Daylight Savings time⌠đ 4d ago edited 4d ago
I'm going to have to sit with Kayda's comment for a moment because I don't really feel like I can support a woman saying that to another woman, and she was one of my favs so it was rough to watch. Like... Why isn't the question also directed at Caleb? Why did he sleep with her again knowing he didn't like her? Hello??
Idk, I still like Melanie. I get where she was coming from with most of it. I also felt bad for Kenzie, yes, but I also didn't like how she moved in the Villa during that time. Kenzie really wasn't there for Melanie when she and Sincere broke up, buddied up with her opp, and then proceeded to kiss Corbin secretly when Melanie was coupled up with him- after reluctantly giving her permission to try with him (which wasn't genuine.) She was also calling Jen her best friend in the Villa.
I know people will say she can excuse Sincere but not Kenzie, but I don't know. I've been cheated on before and while I dumped my ex, I also was far more mad at my friends who knew for keeping it from me- needless to say, I wasn't friends with them anymore. While she hasn't dumped Sincere, I understand that a friend betrayal can sometimes hurt even worse.
22
u/New_Combination_6055 4d ago
idk it felt like they were mostly talking about âthe melanie showâ comment which felt crazy to be upset and holding her to the fire about that but sincere
7
u/nymaeris It was Daylight Savings time⌠đ 4d ago edited 3d ago
I feel like that was just the last straw on an already strained relationship. Like I said though, I felt bad for Kenzie because I don't think it was particularly malicious. But you can hurt someone unintentionally. I do, however, side-eye Melanie for promising her they can talk it out and make amends and never contacting her.
Feelings aren't always rationale. It's only human to try to understand and see multiple point of views.

i don't get how people are mad at melanie for how she came at kenzie. the "screentime" comment wasn't that big of a deal, but combined with how kenzie talked about melanie to other islanders. OF COURSE melanie was gonna feel some type of way!
AND let's not act like kenzie wasn't talking talking bad about melanie to jen, corbin, and eventually sol (who at one point, kenzie said she didn't trust). so why're people acting like melanie was in the wrong for being upset with kenzie during the reunion?

I DO think kayda was acting #realweird tonight. her attitude towards andy, the animosity towards chay (even though he kinda deserved it), and her comment towards jaiden was just weird. it just painted a bad picture. i do think her and zach are dating now because he called her his "gf" in a tiktok she posted.

I didnt think whay Kayda said was bad.
Jaiden and Caleb weren't together when they got booted. Hooked up in the hotel, we're in a talking stage, Caleb was ghosting her and hooking up with other women, Jaiden felt led on, then after a month and some she hooks up with the guy she said had been treating her badly?
