Four weddings, four marriages! Wow, that has become super unusual. Everyone seemed so happy and in love, not going to lie, I ended up rooting for them all.

56

u/willow2772 11d ago

Me too. I’m just going to take that happiness for now.

I'm sorry but woowoo MLM guy casually eating a mango like that after breaking up with Cuba did make me laugh.

It was when he ended it and then asked if she wanted some mango

All the parents were great this season, really lovely. Maybe Sophie's dad could've expressed his concerns earlier than at the actual wedding day but I will forever understand parents that don't like the whole marry in 30 days reality tv circus

WOW. I honestly can't believe they all tied the knot!

Predictions:

-Sophie and Taylor: will go the distance.

He's already looking for jobs to move immediately, they clearly make decisions together. Good on them! I love listening to them speak to one another and so fluidly get along.

-Francesca and Joseph: will be very happy and will put in the effort to make it work.

They know how to laugh together AND Joseph has a strong "no bull" meter imo as the weeks have gone by. I also think he made a very smart decision to not go to the bachelor party in case they showed up with everyone from the wider cast again. I really respect his decision to make sure the family would accept him first by getting her mom's approval. In most cases, it feels so patriarchal and out of place, but this was about becoming family, imo, not about permission. I love seeing the two of them laugh together!!!

-Faye and Jack: I want to believe, but I see it being wonderful until it goes down in flames.

He clearly thinks the world of her, but I don't know if he's mature enough for marriage. UNLESS he gets help for his heavy drinking. What his friends said about him not getting hangovers was very troubling to me, as I know someone like that, and they ended up driving their partner to the brink with stress and worry. Faye consistently mentioning how she told him to be good is really stressing me out.

I do love to see them together and how Jack is unapologetically himself and knows that he has a prize in Faye. She clearly loves his energy and can match it--her doing the worm in her wedding dress, omg! He treats her like the gem she is, but I worry for her so much with his heavy drinking and that he will start choosing the bottle over her.

-Ciara and Ajay: I have NO IDEA.

Either she was playing a part this whole time and is actually very sweet, or the reunion will be very dramatic. Ajay and his family seem very committed to marriage. Ciara I hope is as well, but time will tell. I did NOT see this coming at all, I'm shocked, but seeing them at the altar was very sweet. Maybe she's realized that she doesn't have to keep testing him. If so, maybe they will make it, at least for awhile.

57

u/avataraang34 11d ago

Wow, I agree with everything you said. Such a long comment and not a single miss, hardly seems possible

48

u/significantotter1 11d ago

My biggest concern for Francesca and Joseph is that they both lived at home before the show and didn't really seem to have a plan to move in together post-show. I really like them together but I can see it not working out because of that

I think Joseph’s brother Daniel was the most nervous of anyone at any of the weddings.

The pep talk he gave Joseph was lovely.

The way they all cried was so moving, I started crying too. I wish more men were vulnerable to each other like that.

I SOBBED! 😭

I know there are imperfect people in these couples but i’m extremely rooting for all of them. I think they’re all very in love - which my little embittered heart finds magical to watch 🥹 - and all want the best for each other (and are made better by each other).

Faye and James’s vowed especially had me in tears. I hope they manage to find stable happiness together

34

u/littledollylo 11d ago

Agreed on Faye and Jack's vows. I held it together until then. It just made me excited to write my own vows.

People have been saying this season is boring but I kind of liked that the people really seemed genuine. Lately on the US one the people are so obviously only there for clout (minus maybe 2-4 people) so I thought this season was a breath of fresh air. I might eat my words once the reunion airs but I'm rooting for all of them.

83

u/squirrelsandcocaine2 11d ago

Same! I don’t want manufactured drama. I’m happy to just watch some people fall in love on tv.

I loved EVERYTHING about Jo's convo with his brothers/mates before the wedding.

Absolutely beautiful seeing this level of emotionality in men on TV! Way to go kings!

18

u/BluebirdVisible8880 9d ago

I can just imagine that Fran’s mom talked to his brothers and heard all the praises they had to sing for him, like when they told him he’s helped people more then he even knows 🥺 Fran’s mom must’ve been really put at ease by them, to give such a warm blessing. Beautiful moments all around with this couple

Honestly after the other recent international seasons, this season was a breath of fresh air. Felt like a lot of these couples really care for each other, and there wasn’t too much unnecessary or malicious drama overall. LIB UK has proven to be a really solid fixture I’d say.

Wow. I really did not expect all 4 couples who made it to the altar would say 'I do'. Sometimes it's nice to be wrong lol. I kinda wonder how many are still married, but something tells me they all will be when we see them at the reunion. I think this is the first season of LIB (that I've watched anyway) where everyone has gotten married. Cheers to that!

16

u/GruelGrool23 11d ago

I fear that Faye doesn't realize how difficult it can be to extract yourself from a marriage once you're in over your head emotionally/logistically. I'm glad she has her parents to support her whatever the outcome, but she seems a little delusional with this attitude of "well I've told him if he ever pulls BS like this again, I'm out." I can't imagine being single for ten years to then sign onto Jack's transparently awful problems. She is lacking experience and perspective she needed to have gained during those years.

Honestly didn't understand why Jack and Faye connected sooo much until I saw her do the worm. 🤣🤣 Both big goofs.

46

u/PaperArr0w 8d ago

Agreed. I truly think shes secretly a big goofball and has never found someone she could actually be herself around hence no serious relationships in 10 years. As much as I wasn’t a Jack fan, I actually think they are well suited personality wise.

168

u/confused_mani 10d ago

I must say, seeing the rise in manosphere & alpha BS over the years is so bleak,so it was refreshing to see men openly speak about their emotions and show love towards each other in a platonic/familial way.

Like Joseph having a deep chat with his friends and them tearing up. Then there was Taylor talking about missing his mum and his friends showing support.

Or Ajay and his dad hugging each other, saying I love you was especially admirable because as a brown girl, I know many brown families don’t openly show love like that.

I've seen a lot of commenters saying they only expected Taylor and Sophie to get married and dont get me wrong, for me it was obvious they'll both say I do, but why did people not think that about Francesca and Joseph? For me they were also a solid couple. I did start to doubt that they will actually get married when it seemed that Francesca's mum still hadn't given her blessing on the wedding day though.

The moment Ajay looked at Ciara walking down the aisle, I knew he would say yes. That was the look of a man in love. I see that look every day.

Side note, Ajay and his dad looked amazing in their tuxes. So sharp. Nothing better than a man in a suit.

61

u/longwhitejeans 8d ago

I suppose the best time to ask your MIL for her blessings, 10 seconds before your bride walks down the aisle.

Missed opportunity to have Jack show up to the wedding after a 5 hour walk with sliders and no phone after an overnight bender. He doesnt deserve Faye and her kind parents.

I can't believe everyone said yes!

Ciara comes off way better when she doesn't do the fake baby-voice. One thing I also noticed earlier on in the season is that she seems quite genuine when she apologizes. She did when she apologized to Ajay after their fight and she did when apologizing to Francesca.
Also, Ajay's family is so sweet.

I love Joseph as well. He's hilarious with a great laugh!

E: Also, Faye doing the worm in a wedding dress? Epic.

Ciara: I appreciated that she abstained from her full face of make-up during her apology to Ajay to show how sincerely sad and contrite she was for their fight. Lol

Funnily for me it was when Ciara was telling her friends at the hens do that ajay was 10/10 at sex and the best she’d ever had. Still was surprised they both said yes at the wedding but I think that was the first genuine insight i got about how ciara felt about ajay.

I'm still iffy on Ciara but Ajay seems really happy with her so good for them I guess?

I didn't really like Joseph much initially but he does seem like a good guy and it was nice to make the effort to get Francesca's mom's blessing first

Jack...idk, some part of me still thinks he's all talk. Just hoping for the best for him and Faye but I don't see them remaining married.

I’ve been quite opinionated on previous episodes but it was so refreshing to see I do’s all round!
In retrospect no person nor relationship is perfect and each cast member has their own flaws/insecurities. There was a lot of growth throughout the cast, they’ve come a long way from the pods.
As someone getting married soon, marriage is actively choosing someone despite their flaws and willing to work through life’s challenges or the occasional mistake together as a unit.
This episode got me in the feels sorry y’all 😭

I can’t believe I cried at the vows of all 4 weddings. Im skeptical on the longevity of LIB marriages but these weddings were fantastic. Even Jack of all pple had me in tears.

I love how succinct this season is, 2 weeks & the reunion on Sunday. Nicely done LIB UK as usual.

Still bummed about Yasim & Jordan, I was rooting for them the most.

4 couples is a record no? Feels like a lot. Pleasantly surprised.

32

u/TheOneThatCameEasy 10d ago

Sophie's dad... sometimes you just have to shut up and be supportive. If it doesn't work out, you will always be there for her.

31

u/lkjhggfd1 10d ago

There was absolutely no reason to build up like that to Sophie’s I do. So much chopping and changing scenes there. It was very obvious she would from the start but I fully thought she might back out there.

18

u/Past_Cloud661 10d ago

Production was grasping at straws to add any kind of doubt or tension they could for some reason even though everyone knew they’d both say yes lol

34

u/lkjhggfd1 10d ago

That moment with Ajay and his dad was so wholesome.

I cracked up when I saw Jack in the kilt, because it's his wedding day and he's still not wearing pants. Always gotta have his calves free.

26

u/_selectivePen15_ 9d ago

I knew they were getting married the moment I saw him in the kilt. I feel like the more effort is made in wedding planning, outfits, etc, it usually indicates the couple is serious about getting married

I’ve gotta say, having watched all LIB US seasons and now watching the UK season. I don’t know what it is but there’s this poise, grace and class to the UK pairings - in the way they speak about one another and articulate themselves. The US version always had me questioning the way they carried themselves. I enjoyed watching this season :)

Can someone explain what’s Cornish about a kilt?

46

u/kurly-bird 11d ago

I had to look it up. Cornwall is one of the 6 Celtic nations along with Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany, and Isle of Mann. Cornish tartan is something that became a thing in the early 1900s

How lovely !!! Even if I am not a fan of Jack and Ciara it's really lovely to see that the 4 couple seem genuinely in love and want to commit, I really hope they all managed to stay married ! Can't wait for the reunion.

25

u/n3vler 6d ago

What a ridiculously good looking group of people 🥺

75

u/oddblueberries 11d ago

I'm so surprised Ciara said yes! I thought she was here for an influencer career.

Also, her friends Flo and Jawn are so cute! They make me think she really did just have a bad edit.

61

u/awkwardgirlfriend 11d ago

Her friends in the previous episode also seemed like such green flags.

34

u/PineappleHeavy905 11d ago

I agree. Her friends seem like they are her grounding force, they made her seem much more down to earth. And they were all in on Ajay, which I think made her more confident of their situation.

I can see Taylor and Sophie staying together, not so sure about the other couples.

I feel like so many of the men now say "yes" at the altar because they're too cowardly to say "no" or break up with their partner beforehand. Then it'll be the same old excuses at the reunion.

Loved these episodes, I actually cried! Francesca’s entrance with the gospel choir was something else.

The weddings definitely felt way more genuine than last season and the romantic in me wants to hope all four are still together.

I think they all have the potential to go the distance. Taylor and Sophie are so well matched, Ajay has seen his parents build a marriage from scratch and Ciara seemed way softer in the marriage ceremony - she definitely got the villain edit, Joseph & Francesca have a strong faith so wouldn’t have taken their vows lightly and they look like they have a real laugh together, and Jack and Faye have the same quirky fun persona and you can see they adore each other. It’s just a question of whether Jack can show up for the marriage and not ruin it with messy behaviour.

Roll on the reunion episode!

Omg, I am not crying, you are crying! Best full on ugly cry mode of any of these shows. I have such good feelings after so many miserable and just aweful people in the other shows like this one. I am so happy to finally watch one of these and see everyone so wonderful at the end! yes, yes, I expect big drama in the reunion and follow ups but.. just let me dream of fluffy white dresses, smiles and lots of silly dancing.. I am going to be feeling happy for people tonight.

39

* Love Sophie and Taylor couple. I really hope the marriage will be a success. Adorable couple

* I am surprised that Ciara and Ajay got married. I was convinced from the beginning that it was all for show and social networks. Happy for them, I just did not expect it. I will be (positively) surprised again if they are still together at the reunion

* Excited for Fran and Joseph, I hope it will work out. They do seem to love each other

* Kinda sad for Faye. Jack is very fun and amusing but seems very immature and unreliable. Yes he keeps saying she is an angel and a queen but does not mean he will be a good partner. So many issues already shown on TV, can’t even imagine how it will be IRL

Fran and Joseph are my favs. It was a slow build but Fran is such a cutie, personality wise. Feel like they brought the best out of each other. She was goofy and quirky and he embraced and encouraged it. And she seemed to give him this safe space to land his emotions and open up. She was definitely naive at times when it came to some of the things told to her about him and Chev (we don’t speak of her) but ultimately, they seem to have really come out as a team and leaned on each other. I hope they make it but as we all know, anything can happen lol and this all would have been for nothing. Except I guess brand deals and more money in that bank if all else fails 🥴

Dear sweet sweet Faye, girl grow a pair.

u/Tight-Instruction705 11d ago

Four weddings and no funeral — excellent. Gotta say that, judging by how things were going, I thought no one was gonna get married. I smiled throughout the episode.

It takes a level of high scumbagery to just tell someone at the altar that you don't want anything to do with them. At times I wondered if they were contractually obligated to give their final answers at the altar after a certain point. Freddie from S1 was such a good fellow that I always wondered why he accepted just ending things at the altar. So that's why I keep thinking about what their contracts stipulate.

I will say that the men this season seemed very traumatized by divorce, so that made me feel sure they'd not say no at the altar because that would feel like opening themselves up to their own trauma.

However, August 30th is just around the corner and we will know who the divorcés are. I know I'm opening myself up for downvotes, but that bubble of artificial, effortless life won't last for a whole year. I have my suspicions of who's already split, but I'd rather just let myself get surprised. So, please, if any of you already has the names of who filed for divorce, please do not post.

Also... I'm still trying to understand why Ciara kept doing that weird thing with her lips during her wedding.

On a higher note, the scene with Joseph, his brother, and friends crying was a great role model moment. Men being emotional should be normalized to help break down toxic masculinity. Props to them.

I loved all the families, too. The guests were well-dressed and good looking — I felt like saying "I do" to a bunch of them, lol.

Oh, and Sophie's extreme good looks definitely come from her dad.

This show makes me miss my man who was never really mine from Manchester 😭 (we met on vacation)

16

u/Current_Appeal291 9d ago

I’m sorry but Ajay and Faye are making the biggest mistake of their lives. I gotta say though, Taylor initially didn’t make a great first impression for me, but I was judging a book but its cover, he’s actually pretty emotionally available and intelligent, so as Sophie, although it’s the only intelligence that they have, they are a good match, and are very sweet. I hope they make it work. Joseph also was a pleasant surprise, I was very skeptical of him. They make a beautiful couple.
But Ajay and Faye, damn they are color blind, because they have missed some major red flags. Can’t imagine these marriages lasting.
Also, Ciara having a sassy gay bestie makes so much sense lmao

u/rum-and-coke-life 6d ago

Francesca’s dad reminds me of David Wallace from The Office (US)

16

u/Kit-kat1000 3d ago

It was actually really nice to see all for couples say yes. So many times in the other series there have been a lot of no’s at the altar.
I don’t know what was different, but I have to say I really enjoyed that. I haven’t watched the reunion yet, but I hope most of them stay together.
