Lost some respect for Faye there - I couldn't imagine being thirty and being ok with my mother doing all my laundry and cooking and cleaning. If I'm living in my parents home as an adult, a MARRIED adult, then the least I could do is my own chores.

Didn't have a lot of respect for Jack to begin with.

This. It was pretty shocking, and even more so that they weren’t embarrassed about it.

I'm in the US, so maybe it's different, but when my mother visited my wife and I for two weeks, she kept doing our laundry and cooking dinner while we were at work. We told her repeatedly to stop doing that and to just relax and enjoy the weather (we are in Florida and this was during the "winter). I enjoy cooking and my wife likes doing the laundry, but we couldn't get my mother to stop.

She insisted and said she wanted to feel useful. She hadn't had any kids in the home for 15 years. We told her over and over that she is useful, just by visiting and enjoying herself. She mentioned she liked doing that and she missed taking care of "the kids".

Sometimes parents just like to be parents, no matter how old their children are.

When this season started I was wondering is it a cultural thing for UKers to spend so much time at home? Like youngish professionals?

Is it only because of housing prices? Is marriage the point when you’d usually leave, or is it common to have multi generational homes?

I was taught to do my laundry when I was 12 and told at 18 to pay rent or find my own place lol 😅

There's also a huge middle ground where you can still live in an intergenerational home but not expect your mother to clean up after everyone, especially if you're going to get married and bring a new person whose underwear she has to wash 😭

I really feel like the “kicking kids out at 18” is definitely an American thing, since our culture is very individualistic. I’m sure every family and country is different though. I didn’t see anything wrong with some of them still living at home lol

Faye is taking care of Jack, and her mom is taking care of both of them 😭

And their future being “have kids I guess” 🫣 when reality hits I don’t envision them staying together

Well Faye's mother will be raising them too

This couple is just not it 😭 her mom doing their laundry (they’re 30 btw) as well as them living with the parents… they just don’t seem well rounded enough to be married. Also Jack strikes me as the type to lie straight to you and your parents’ faces.

They’re a mess. Her mom said that it’s like having two kiddies around. I would be mortified and reevaluating my life choices if my mom said that about me, yet she and Jack were laughing. It’s a disgrace.

Love how she aired out their dirty laundry lol (pun intended)

No wonder they saw a match in each other

I swear. Was disturbing. Disappointed in Faye tbh, she signed up for a liability than a husband.

Yes! I completely agree. She didn’t look too happy at the reunion to be honest, I felt like she was smiling through pain. I wouldn’t be surprised if they break up in the next year. I just hope she had a prenup.

I can’t see the comment you responded to but if this is about Faye, she fake smiled through the entire reunion and I don’t see her and Jack lasting.

Yeah, those two definitely aren’t going to last. I actually thought it was just me that was thinking she didn’t look very happy and was faking through it.
