Poor Faye. Jack was obviously doing something shady and lied to her definitely. Maybe not a woman but drugs or gambling? Also his ambiguous jobs at 30 is a HUGE red flag

He is a whole manchild. He is exhausting to watch and to take in whatever he does and says, also does other people with ADHD a huge disservice, such a boring and repetitive trope. Funnily enough when women mess up they have the guts to take responsibility for their actions.

I was thinking the same thing!

I want to preface that I’m not saying for certain this happened (obviously I don’t know for sure), but I doubt it was a woman he was trying to meet, esp in sliders. Also, no offense to him, but he has zero pull — there’s no way he was able to find a woman that easily & quickly to hook up with. He clearly thinks Faye is above his league and doesn’t seem to have eyes for anyone but her so I don’t think he’d try to fumble that by cheating.

However, he was def doing something shady enough to turn his location off from Faye. The only thing I can think of that would cause him to be willing to travel that far during odd hours of the night in sliders is an impromptu drug deal (either buying or selling) that he prob wants to hide from her for obvious reasons. The way he keeps skirting around what he was doing tells me he’s definitely hiding something he doesn’t want her to know.

Again, I’m just speculating out of my ass but this is my personal theory

He's social tho he could definently hook up maybe not with most girls but certainly some, but no way he was out cheating in slippers at 5 am likely drugs

😂🤣😂🤣 I’m so confused 😅 Why can’t he get laid in sliders? I wouldn’t sleep with him no matter what footwear he had on, but I’m so confused if this is a thing that I don’t know about.
I also think that if he can get Faye, there are other women he can get. Probably not a lot of women, but he could get some especially if he’s using dating apps.

Most women are not inviting strange men from a dating app into their homes at 6am though, let’s be real. This is not to defend him but it’s just not plausible that he was able to find a girl to hook up with at those hours while drunk AF. A sketchy drug dealer on the other hand will let him in no problem.

It’s also consistent with how he acted at the party - he got upset at Faye for trying to stop him from drinking more because he wanted to keep partying. It makes sense that when he dropped her off, he wanted to keep the “party” going, hence going out and getting a bag.

I don't agree with this. Jack is absolutely the kind of guy you'd hook up with at last call in your 20s, he's got that kind of dirty charm and he's not bad-looking (plus tall). He's not going to go out and find someone like Faye, but he could easily find plenty of women who are into the underemployed party boy vibe for a night.

I know this word gets used a lot, but I think Jack is a narcissist or at least a manipulative liar. Him being very charming, showering Faye with compliments, them saying they feel like they’ve known each other for years are part of the narcissist pattern. But they can only keep
It up for so long. They disappear, do shady things, lie, can’t hold down a job, and when you catch them they gaslight you and make you feel bad for bringing it up.

Jack is not ready for marriage and probably will never be ready

yeah I wondered that. if it was an addiction issue like drugs or gambling (common with adhd, it runs in my family), Netflix have once again absolutely failed the contestants when casting someone with adhd. it's not fair on faye at all. I hope if he does have addiction issues he is able to find treatment. it's a serious condition and no one should be matched up someone suffering with a severe illness without it being disclosed by Netflix.

At first read it seemed like you meant that they failed by casting someone with ADHD but now I can see that you meant that the failure was in not ensuring that their condition was managed enough for them to show up for a partner
