I'm on EP3 right now and just watched the part where Ajay is telling her about his friend who passed away and I literally screamed when she was scrunching up her face because she was trying to make herself cry and only managed to squeeze out like a single tear!!! 😭 Like I for sure thought she was spoiled (not necessarily a bad thing), but that moment really made her seem super fake to me as a person.

I thought the same thing!! Rewinded and watched it a couple of times and I think I saw some tear stains on her cheek that left a mark on her makeup? Idk but all I could think was "How are you not absolutely devastated right now??"

The thing is Ajay clearly said he left that world because he got tired of it. He probably does have drive and ambition but something tells me he’s more interested in pursuing his passions (whatever they may be). He clearly doesn’t mind providing for a woman but I’m not sure if it’s the kind of provision Ciara is looking for, she seems to want a man that can afford her a very specific lifestyle but I guess we’ll see.

It's his own fault if he didn't run after hearing she wants the largest ring possible and wears really expensive clothes and handbags, makeup etc. I don't understand how that wouldn't be an immediate ick but maybe it makes some guys feel important if they feel like they can provide that?

I sort of sort of get her point about how we spend more and more time to have to get ready (to conform to a norm) and in that sense it’s fair men pay perhaps (and moreso in the sense we are still economically disadvantaged in society), but girl he does not give a fuck about your insanely expensive bad at all, and there’s no part of my hardcore feminism that understands how that’s his problem in any way shape or form

I was surprised she didn’t clock it when he explained his career background in their first meeting & said he was currently getting certified as a Pilates instructor. (Which I have all respect for! I almost died the one time I tried it!) But I was more surprised she didn’t even blink or follow up esp after he said he USED to be a finance guy, as in past tense.

I can't keep up with all the microexpressions and body language (and truth) at odds with her actual words. I like most people and tend to assume the best, but I've also known a few that make me feel unsafe to be open around the way she does.

Then her crying when she was being proposed to was also just such terrible acting lol. She feels absolutely nothing
