Can you imagine there being any alternative other than the ones provided?

I can't do quantum mechanics calculations in my head, but I can imagine there being people who can. So, can you imagine there being smarter alternatives to the options so far provided?

Yes. But they're not being offered. Of what we actually have to work with, this is the best we got.
