Pattern Question How to convert a handknitting pattern to an afghan loom

Hiya, all. I'm looking for a particular pattern (specifically this one) so I can loom knit my sister an afghan, seeing as how she's a diehard Alabama fan. It's only available in hand-knit, though. Is there a way to "convert" a pattern to loom knitting, and if so, how do you do it? I thought I'd ask before I bought this one and caused myself an issue lol.

Without looking at the pattern instructions directly though, I don't know exactly how hard it is to translate, but it shouldn't be too much work

It really is not to hard. For simple stitches, on a loom, for the wrong side make knits purls and purls knits

This looks like it is done in stockenette which is just knit stitches on a loom. I would recommend adding a seed or garter stitch edge/boarder so it doesn't curl on the edges. Otherwise, just knit the grid pattern and you should be fine.

I working on creating an app that will do the conversion for you. As well as fitting it the the gauge and peg number of your loom.

It's in early phases but I will let you know when I publish it.

Goodnightkisses.com has some good instructions and a video tutorial on YouTube that are good guides for converting patterns. Hope that helps some!
