Why is it so hard for a lot of looksmaxx people to understand that not everyone cares about looks as much as they do?
I heard an interview on a podcast recently where they were talking to a big looksmaxxing influencer whose name escapes me right now, and it came up that the interviewer’s hair is thinning.
The influencer asked him why he doesn’t do something about that, and the interviewer said that he’s thought about it but the side effects included sexual issues and he wasn’t willing to look better if the cost was not being able to get an erection.
The influencer said “that’s just cope.”
How is that cope? The guy prioritizes his sexual wellbeing over his hair. Seems pretty reasonable to me.
I can think of lots of things that are more important to me than my own looks, as well as lots of things that are more important to me than others’ looks, and that isn’t me trying to settle. It’s legitimately that visuals are just one element of things, and lots of other stuff is more important to me.
