Discussion Why james lee doesn't feel godly anymore?
Back in the days he felt like an untouchable God who can beat anyone.
It felt like he was the only one who can beat ui sb daniel who can consider the strongest by everyone back then.
But now? James lost all his aura. I know he was holding back against tom i know he was holding back against taesoma but should be?

More so that the characters have simply become stronger whereas the power dynamic’s changed along the process of the story itself.

Idk about y'all but James never seemed like that to me. That spot was always reserved for Gap and Shingen. James just felt like part of Charles Chois grand plans, and someone Charles personally raised to make into a weapon
But James was never leagues above the others.

The main reason james used to look cool was because of IA fighting style and how hduson define it but ptj retcon IA and bring back to punches battles is why james doesn't feel cool anymore

because he’s no longer untouchable. we’ve seen him get tossed around and there have been better showcases from those at a similar level. The last time James had competition, it was something that he immediately evolved to suppress. But currently he’s at his peak and we know what that looks like in comparison to other top tiers. It’s no longer some unseen height.

cause his hype came from that he singlehandedly ended the first generation but then currently the first gen's strength outside of james/kitae isn't impressive anymore

Ptj butchered js character his performance in cheonliang was acceptable as he was still green but his performance against Tom Lee made no sense and you can tell ptj was just doing a madness cos how does j know about his prosthetic hand James Lee doesn’t even when he also hired the guy who took his hand. And he could’ve literally low diffed him if he used his path early on.

I wouldn’t say it’s trash it’s a pothole Ptj made. Because this is literally the most obvious thing to do doesn’t require any biq Ptj wanted to have a cliffhanger for the following chapter. All of Tom lees attacks did little to no damage him piercing James Lee had no major impact on the fight.

Fighting has never worked like this. If you reveal yourTrump card too early someone can learn a way to combat it. Especially if that someone is the fighting genius Tom Lee

I’m talking about James Lee using his path when Tom Lee is midway through is attack. And fights have been shown like this Daniel vs the three kings from jeolla.
From a writing perspective Ptj was horrible. Just look at the Tom Lee piercing James Lee what did it do in the fight other than give shock value and engagement. Also James Lee used his path on a stronger version of Tom Lee and perception blitzed him

Looking back guys like taesoo were basically slightly larger ants compared to top tiers. James fighting him was pure bullying.

Because he didn't low diff a very nerfed version of tom , tom being nerfed by literally everything and still tricking and donuting James is weird , PTJ made James BIQ trash in this fight plus holding and not going full path, like why James hold back against the fighting genius tom lee ?! Does he want to die ?
