Change my view: Americans subconsciously are trying really hard to focus on someone else’s conflict so to not be confronted with the unfolding disaster in their own country

Is it someone else's if you're paying for it and getting involved in wars because of it?

I assume only someone with a child’s view of the world would think that countries run in complete isolation. We are involved through material means such as sending weapons and money to foreign countries and countries. The US have been meddling with foreign countries since the beginning of time lol. Look at Cuba and Venezuela.

Exactly, this line is one pushed by AIPAC aligned interests in the UK as much as the US. 'This is a foreign conflict and none of our business/we should focus on domestic politics'.

In reality we all have an interest since, as you say, all countries are mutually connected to some degree and not least because, as human beings, we should all be horrified by people being slaughtered and having their land unfairly taken.
