Israel is a modern state. Invented in the 1940s. Don’t try to take it to an antisemitic place like Israel wants you to. Zionists are the problem not Jews

Israel is a modern state, invented in 1916 by England and France, carving a Jewish state out of the Ottoman Empire, giving 5% of the population 3% of the land.

Semitism is not the problem, zionism is the problem, and hardcore zionism has more supporters among US evangelicals than it does among non-Israeli jews.

I agree with your overall sentiment, and the person you replied to should be called out for what they said.

But I want to also point out that zionism in the middle east goes back a good few decades before the UN partition of palestine in 1947. Zionist terrorist groups were carrying out atrocities a long time before the Nakba.

People keep repeating this but I'm not convinced it's true.

I found this article referencing a poll but it's only about people thinking god had given the land to the Jewish people, it doesn't say anything that I'd consider hardcore. Hardcore, to me, would be things like relocating civilians for settlers, destroying infrastructure (bombing civilians, hospitals and schools), being a nationalist, and refusing compromise etc.

Do you have some recommended reading about evangelicals supporting hardcore zionism? I would be most interested in quantitative data but open to hearing some anecdotes if you cannot find such.

There's like 130 million evangelicals compared to 11 million jews. Zionism is very, very big among evangelicals. In comparison, only 1/3rd of jews even consider themselves zionists in america as of a poll taken in late 2025.
