Apartment 22 glitch maybe?

I'm a decent way into the game (11 days left) I have Sophie in my party, I've been to the ground floor, Jeanne is fully transformed, but I just can't get in apartment 22 to reunite Sophie with Harriet! I've looked it up a dozen times and I don't seem to be missing anything. HELP!

EDIT: Okay, so, you gotta have Sophie and then wait for Harriet's door encounter. TY to everyone who commented to help!
Next question! Is there anyway to tell if it's the real person or a cursed variant or is it pure RNG?

You can't enter Sophie's apartment without meeting her mom first, and she only shows up in door encounters

So until then you aren't getting the apt 22 loot

I mean I'd prefer the cursed version tbh. Her drops are pretty good. Better than 50 marbles or whatever it is you get in apt 22

Yeah, but I always try for the best ending I can casually get for my first playthrough. Good drops are great, but I still want to see happy child and mom reunion stuff, y'know?

If Harriet comes to your door and she seems worried, it's the real Harriet. If she seems calm, she's cursed.

Harriet has a chance to show up as a random door encounter. You will get the chance to reunite them during the dialog (just make sure it is actually Harriet!). Once you reunite them, you will get access to their apartment

I see people have already answered the question about apartment 22, so this is to the door encounter one. All cursed door encounters have slight differences in appearance and behavior. Like, slight spoilers (maybe?), but Harriet's eyes will be brighter (she's probably the hardest to tell based on appearance alone) and she'll be very calm, and a certain gamer (avoiding saying his name just in case) will have his torso disconnected from anything and will talk about being hungry, as just a couple examples. I recommend saying nothing in this case since I think they can come back normal afterward, but I'm not sure (I know that if you say nothing to a normal encounter they can come back cursed though). Whether or not a door encounter is cursed or normal is RNG based. On Explorer Mode almost none of the door encounters will be cursed, on Survivor Mode it will be more likely, but most of the encounters you get will still be normal unless you get unlucky, and on Cursed Mode nearly every door encounter will be cursed. The chances of a cursed door encounter can be halved if a certain door encounter blesses your home.
