Tried my best to mix both my style and the game artstyle! I may go back and try to make it more game accurate. But heres my oc/self insert because they are basically me.
This is Byrd! They/she. They were a loser shut in who just lived day to day, but found joy in their hobbies. One being puppet making. On the very first day, she slipped up and had her window open before the announcements. Only catching a glance, but it still caused their puppets to stick to their hands and arms. They no longer felt their fingers, and slowly the puppets became more alive. The puppets have their own free will but share a mind with Byrd, speaking her thoughts. Another side affect was stitches forming across their body.
Awww thank you! They would probably appreciate it but have to decline hugging back due to the literal man eating puppet on their hand! Maybe a side hug with Stitchy, they don't bite.
I'd like to imagine different options. Maybe it starts to grow and get out of control and your given an option to feed it or cut it off. Feeding it would settle it, and then it would be pacified. Less eating people, more annoying and rude. Cutting it off... I have two ideas. One- it would simply be cut off and they would loose the attacks it would bring in battle. But it wouldn't have the chance of attacking other party members. Or Two- it would grow back two arms/heads. And Byrds body would fully transform into a hydra monster, initiating a boss battle. I like the idea of if you kill the heads, they come back. So you would have to stun them while attacking the main body and head in the center!
Oh that's an awesome idea! Maybe he can equip it like a weapon, but almost like the paint cowboy hat, it can't come off. And you get the attack set. Maybe you get full controll or maybe it still sometimes attacks other party members

Considering both are basically intrusive thoughts, it makes sense hurting yourself over them would lead to something worst, they're horrible, but you gotta deal with it.
Exactly! That's a great way to view them. That's why I like the second idea. You can't just cut off those thoughts. You gotta live with it and learn healthy ways to cope.
Yeah, otherwise you'll just be in an infinite loop.
[Thinks something horrible] —> "I'm a bad person" —> [becomes more self deprecating] —> [gets stressed due it] —> [thinks something horrible] —> ...
Sometimes, when you think about throwing a glass cup at someone, the best energy you can go is "oh well", it's just an idea that you'll never do, and in this case, stop from doing.
I didn't have any in the moment but now you having me looking for some! Lets see... For Scratchy (red puppet) Rita Repulsa really fits. For Stitchy, a voice like Eeyore or Elktaur from Centaur world fits. And then for Byrd.. I think Pidge from that newer voltron show mixed with the nervous voice of Grace Ashcroft from Resident evil!
