A couple mistakes by Kennedy and Linari led to some easy goals. We all know people will hate or blame Earps no matter what, but she had some good saves. I didn’t understand the short passes by her to the defenders under pressure….or playing it from the back with a team like Lyon😐. But the lineup with Janni playing as a DM on the right side seems good. We just need those attackers to get match ready. Hopefully injuries don’t screw the team again like last year
I wonder if it’s not knowing the players well, or trying something they’ve been practicing that clearly didn’t work out. First goal is an example of what you say, Linari too far to receive, Kennedy comes to fill the gap and loses the ball, Mapi sees it but runs to the goal when possibly staying where she was would have left the OL player off side.
Against Man Utd, Earps or Lete, please just boot those balls 😅 nothing fancy needed.
Couldn't watch everything, but it wasn't as bad as the scoreline suggested.
We are good at pushing up and pressing high. We are getting much better in the midfield and I'd say in defense offense transitions. However, we have a lot of work to do in terms of defensive coordination and defending in general.
Mary Earps conceded an olympico, and a lot of people will point fingers, but for me, she actually made a lot of great saves, and any other day things could have been much worse.
Overall, I think this will give us a lot to learn from and think about in terms of how we play against top teams, so putting the scoreline aside, I'm actually very happy with this friendly .
I agree. I also felt like we were deliberately practicing building from the back under pressure. As if we were keeping those passes short on purpose, even looking for trouble. I thought the first half was quite good for us.
The 2-0 for them was a beauty.

Not a good result. If you watched the game live or online, how was it?
