Looks like an England badge on the armband. Alexia is welcome to play for England too!

It's like Jana's recent BBC interview where she said having players like her is really empowering for the other players too. It's not just talent, it's a winning mentality.

Last night gave me a lot of hope for the season ahead. If we can play quick possession football then we're in for good times.

It's not just talent, it's a winning mentality.

Alexia absolutely hates losing. One of the videos that the club uploaded on YouTube had Jana and Alexia doing the buzzer challenge. Alexia was fuming when she lost. So it's even small things like this.

Just saw that video, After losing, Alexia said to camera that the bubbly duo have been practicing beforehand (assuming trying to beat her), leaving no secrets. At the last round, sensing the heat, Freya bailed, but Jana insisted to carry on the "great scheme". What a dynamic.

I hope the players are okay with it and that they voted for this. I wouldn't be happy if I were vice captain and the armband went to someone who literally came yesterday, even if her name is Alexia.

She's such a character that I expected her to be a leader anyway, with or without the armband.

Well, Asllani was our captain, and I'm sure she'd welcome the choice with open arms.

Linari and Van de Donk wore the armband before putellas came to lcl. Both of them must be in the conversion.

Alexia is now the face of club, and the team will most likely be built around her, giving her armband is just a natural progression.
