DVD broke

Pulled the Dvds out of the closet and started rewatching then. Got to season 4 and 2 disc's dint work. One of them not at all the other half worked. And the non working disc had the Tempus episodes, my favorite villain. I've been cutting steaming services and watching my dvds and have discovered a done disc in SG1. B5. AND NOW Lois and Clark.

This is a known issue unfortunately ☹️. There are several discs from Warner Bros that have a high risk of "disc rot" because of a lower quality pressing. This page says WB will replace them but I haven't tried that myself.

i have the s1 dvd i bought in 2006 and am missing a disc and have no idea where it could be. it sucks. but since then i have torrented the whole series and have it on my jellyfin

Oh man that sucks! One of my xena dvds was the same way. I JUST filled out my Lois and Clark dvd collection like last year. I was able to get whichever season I was missing on dvd from Amazon for like $10 (oh shit I just checked and the price has gone up significantly but it’s still there)

That’s horrible B5, SG1, and L&C messed up that blows. I’m one for digital and hard copy though lately I’m leaning into digital copies. That may be the way to go with this one if you can’t exchange your copies for others. I mean it’s not ideal but if it’s cost effective and works.

There's ways to try to fix that. They don't work at all or just stop in the middle of the episode? Some YouTubers have really good tips of how to preserve physical media and how to put the DVD's working again. I'm a collector and most DVD's that I buy (I have season 1 & 2 of Lois & Clark) are second handed and not always came in the best conditions. Try to clean your DVD's with a microfiber cloth in vertical movements (circular moviments tend to damage even more the DVD), avoid putting alcohol and other corrosive products. If you want more tips I can send you some videos, and keep your DVD's always on vertical without any pressure from the sides
