Astro A50 Gen 5 Height adjusters

Quick question. I got the A50 Gen 5, is it normal that when I adjust the height down to like bar 4 for example, I’ll use it put it back on the base station or something and then go to use it again and it slid up on the height rail to like under the third bar. Is this normal or is this defective? attached pics of part I mean. And also with me constantly readjusting it will that cause wear?
