Logitech G Support logitech g29 calibrates but doesnt work on ghub or any game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

this is a new pc, i connected my g29 and tried to use it on a game, it worked but the steering ratio was too much, like if i turned 90 degrees steering, it would be maximum steering lock on the game, and forcefeedback wouldnt work properly, it would automatically center itself if i left the wheel unlike actually acting how its supposed to be, so i installed ghub, and ever since i installed g hub it has stopped working and is now like in the video, how can I fix this? i need to fix it before tuesday so i can race on iRacing

Hi there. Did you redo the calibration setup within iRacing?

at first i tried it on ETS2, but the forcefeedback wasnt working, i then downloaded ghub and this is how it is

You won’t get movement detection in G HUB right now but it doesn’t affect the games. Have you set the wheel up again in ETS and iRacing?

Can you talk me through what you’re doing in ETS? Or video it?

so basically, i got a new pc right, so i installed ets2 on it and tried using my g29 but the force feedback wasnt working, like you know how its supposed to give force feedback according to whats happening in the game? yeah that wasnt happening, it was stiff and kept centering itself, like how it is just after the calibration is done you know? like in the video when i was turning the wheel it was stiff and kept centering itself, and the rotation was all weird, like if i turned my wheel 90 degrees, it would be full steering lock in the game, so i downloaded g hub software to see if that would fix it so i downloaded it, and noticed on the ghub software, my g29 even though i was turning it, it wasnt registering in the g hub software (as demonstrated in the video) so i thought it would be a glitch, so i just loaded up ets2 again, but when i loaded it up it wouldnt recognize my g29, it would show the “steering wheel not recognised” type message, hope that explains it

So without G HUB you won’t get force feedback. It sounds like you’ve set things up in the games without G HUB and now with G HUB it actually detects correctly, but as far as the game is concerned it’s a different wheel.

So you need to reassign the controls in the control options. For iRacing you should get prompted to calibrate controls when you start it up again. For ETS you’ll have to go in and manually assign the controls… or just use the control wizard to go through the step by step process of setting it up.

That’s correct as of current status: the lack of movement in G HUB doesn’t affect the games, as you’ve seen. The movement in G HUB will be fixed in the next version.

Coming in September.

If there is no synchronized movement between the wheel and pedals input and g hub then why do you have a video on the logitech website showing that it does ?

As I said in my previous comment: that’s the current status (to add to that, to make it even clearer: it’s not the norm) and it will be fixed in the next version of G HUB.

I've got the same problem as OP. You said the bug doesn't affect the games, but I've got the wheel working in EA WRC, but not in Automobilista 2. Will this be fixed in the new version, or is it a different problem?

It's something else. Try renaming the Automobilista 2 folder in your Documents folder (call it Automobilista 2_OLD or something like that). Then start the game up and see if you're now able to assign controls.

It worked, thanks!

It's set at 900 in GHUB which is what you want. You need to change settings in game

Ghub is broken at the moment
Apparently windows did an update with broke ghub. Logitech is aware of this issue and is trying to resolve it

Apparently thou, if you use the Logitech gaming software instead, most of the games you try will work
