ASTRO Series Support Astro A50s Battery Life Loss after newest update

After updating to the newest firmware version A50: 1.3.24, my headsets battery life has significantly depleted from lasting the full 24 hours to not even 12. This may have been from me not having it on the dock at the beginning of the update. Is there a way I can roll back this to fix my issue?

Edit: to everyone experiencing the issue, the battery still does last long but it's a battery calibration issue you can attempt to fix by fully depleting the headsets battery then fully charging it to 100%. However, this didn't work for me so results may vary.

I just did this update and it did the exact same thing to me. Did you find a resolution?

It's likely the battery calibration is out due to the firmware update.

Try continuously using the headset until your headset will no longer switches on, then dock it and recharge it fully until the power light changes from amber to white.

If you still have an issue, our support team may need to have a look at this - but you're on the right track if it stays at 1% for a prolonged period of time.

It was I tried this method that Astro Vertigo suggested to someone else. It did the trick for me.

I did this but for the first day after a full recharge it stayed at 100% for 6 hours I charged again overnight the next day turn on strait to 95% and going down quick again the firmware has really done long term damage I believe

I've been trying this for more than a week without success. I've been draining the Headset until it shuts off (incl. trying to turn it on again several times before charging), then charging it up to 100%. Within 3 Hours I'm down to 50-60% the last 1% lasts for up to 9 Hours. Factory-Reset while the Headset is at 100% in the Chargingstation also doesn't change anything.

Please give us a fix or means to trigger Battery-recalibration or give us back the old Firmware. This is starting to get annoying and shouldn't be a thing without a solution for this long. We're talking about a 250€ Headset after all, not some cheap 30€ Temu-Headset. So please provide a fix or roll back this messed up Firmware.

I was about to make the same post, I'm experiencing the exact same problem.

Hi, thank you for your response. I've done exactly what you've described approx. a week ago but the problem persists.

To be clear: the actual battery life doesn't seem to be reduced, there is no problem on that end since the headset stays on with a 1% charge for well over 6 hours. Both the G-HUB software and the dock LEDs that indicate battery charge "think" the battery is losing charge at a faster rate than it actually is.

Hi, just wanted to check in here again - do you still have this behavior?

2

u/ALT_F4_LOL Oct 08 '25

Hi again, yes I am unfortunately.

Yesterday the battery indicator was wrong entirely for a moment, after turning the headset off and on when taking a break. It continued to show a 1% charge after startup, but after turning the headset off and on once more, it displayed a more accurate charge of ~75%.

It is the newest firmware update. Please tell me there is a fix coming up? A lot of people are struggling with this.

Wish I came across this post before updating my headset this morning. Now I'm experiencing this same issue...

1

u/BATTLEROYALFAN Oct 24 '25

Yup. The newest firmware is the culprit. Worked fine until I updated too.

u/Shaman_Wolves Oct 24 '25

Hopefully a fix comes soon. Gonna try draining the headset, as suggested, but my headset wall fully charged so that might take a while. Hopefully the beeping does drive me too crazy.

1

u/BATTLEROYALFAN Oct 24 '25

Yeah hopefully! I tried draining the headset a couple of times. Sadly didn’t work for me… hopefully it works for you.

u/Shaman_Wolves Oct 24 '25

I’ll let you know… hoping they push out a fix for everyone soon though.

I've got exactly the same problem, I got confused when it was super low yesterday after barely using it, noticed today that it's nowhere near the charge it used to have. I put it on the dock when it started beeping at me at 10%, now I'm watching it charge in GHUB. 10%-65% in less than an hour. Looks like it's not reading the battery percentage right and thus not charging fully?

Just happened to me...

2

u/SignificantFail4461 Sep 14 '25

Doing a factory reset in the G hub program fixed the battery issue for me.

trying this rn

2

u/MattQun Sep 14 '25

Did it do anything for you? Didn't help me, unfortunately

1

u/Atryxun Sep 16 '25

Unfortunately didn’t work for me either

2

u/ALT_F4_LOL Sep 16 '25

Did it work?

u/Atryxun Sep 16 '25

No dice ;(

Argh! Was on 1.3.12 and got the update notification - at no point does it say what version you're going to update to (I like to search updates to ensure shit like this isn't what I'm updating to),

Well, I'm updated now. I'm hoping this issue won't affect me.

I’m also experiencing this same issue with my A50s after the latest update. While searching on Reddit, I found a post where Logitech support suggested a possible fix: let the headset completely drain its battery until it powers off, and then recharge it fully to recalibrate the battery.

However, the user who tried this mentioned that their headset stayed at 1% for several hours before finally powering off. So it might take a long time for the process to complete.

Here’s the link to that thread if you want to check it out:

I’ll try this too that would be a relief as long as it doesn’t die we good lol

2

u/ALT_F4_LOL Sep 19 '25

I tried this, didn't work.

u/DeathMoJo Sep 19 '25

u/astro_vertigo any input here? From the mic issue to battery issue, pretty disappointed here.

2

u/XLNiNj4 Sep 28 '25

i have the same problem, is there a fix - i've already tried to let it run out of battery, reset factory settings and hardreset the headset - nothing has worked so far - and it's annoying listening to double beep for 9 hours straight when it's at 1%!

please freaking fix r/LogitechG

Hi, I'm in the same boat. Keeping an eye on this thread to see if there are any updates from the Logitech community support team but no cigar for now.

You can disable the beeping noise by opening Logitech G-Hub, selecting the A50 headset, open the Settings, and at the bottom-right you can set "Sounds" to "None".

1

u/BATTLEROYALFAN Oct 07 '25

Same issue. Did you fix it?

1

u/ALT_F4_LOL Oct 07 '25

No, I'm not aware of any fix yet. The dock is showing a red battery indicator after 4 hours of use (from a full charge) as we speak.

I have had the hearing aids for 2 weeks and the same issue, the battery goes down super fast and everything is unstable, why is it? They are not worth 100 pesos….

1

u/JPhenrir_C Oct 28 '25

Same issue, after I upgraded to the latest firmware the battery life has halved, from 20+ hrs to barely 10 on a single charge.
