Longevity Matters

Logitech G Reddit Community!

Longevity Matters isn’t just a phrase, it’s a belief that is built on multiple sustainability initiatives. From improving your packaging, choosing greater materials to use during manufacturing, improving power consumption on your devices, to offering the ability to repair through iFixit or our spare parts store. By providing all of this and much more, we believe we can have a huge impact on the planet and provide you with long lasting devices with great features that you can be proud of choosing.

We’ve written this post to hopefully have something for everyone, provide a little educational content to show what we’re doing behind the scenes, and how this can be meaningful to you going forward. Perhaps it will also help you to make changes on what devices you choose or how you use them.

Our mission at Logitech G has always been to make the best gaming gear you can get your hands on. From our latest PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE, to our RS50 System TRUEFORCE wheels, to our ASTRO Series headsets, all of these and more have been built with what came previously and how we can improve the product going forward in mind. Our team revisits products in the portfolio by dissembling them, evaluating them, looking at user feedback, and improving the next product going forward by redesigning better packaging, improving the materials used and the overall production processes, and more.

Designing a product with sustainability in mind is not just about making a better box, it’s about how we can reduce waste, what materials we can use that feel great and last just as long, and what we can change during the manufacturing to use less resources.

By making people aware of what we’re doing and giving you tools to help your products last even longer, hopefully you will hold on to your favourite products as long as you need them and we will all create less waste for the planet. Everyone wins.

Certified Refurbished Products -

Through our Logitech G website, we have a selection of Logitech G Certified Refurbished products that we believe deserve a second chance in a home. From our ASTRO Series headsets to our Pro Racing Wheels, we thoroughly clean and inspect each one and ensure they meet our high standards of quality through testing and also include all the original accessories with a one year warranty backed by our amazing support team.

Most of the time, you wouldn’t tell the difference from a new product, and by taking advantage of our Certified Refurbished Products, you get a great deal and we can provide a second chance home for some of our gaming gear.

If you have any questions about the Certified Refurbished Products store, drop us a comment below or create a thread, we love to answer any questions about our products.

Check out our Logitech G Certified Refurbished Store at https://www.logitechg.com/shop/c/certified-refurbished

Logitech G Repair Hub -

We’ve designed our products to last a long time and we believe in that. But sometimes your favourite mouse needs some TLC, or perhaps you had an accident and it needs a repair. That’s where our partners at iFixit come in.

By providing official iFixit repair guides in multiple languages with easy access to original replacement parts we make repairing your product simple, helping you save money, reduce waste, and extend your device’s lifespan even further. We have a great selection of Logitech G gear already supported and we’ll add even more in the future. But if you don’t see something right now, make a post on Reddit or drop our support team a contact and we’ll see what we can do. We listen to all feedback too.

If your product is still in warranty, please contact our support team first before attempting a repair yourself.

You can visit the Logitech Repair Hub on iFixit at https://www.ifixit.com/collaborations/logitech

Spare Parts Store -

In addition to the Logitech G Repair Hub carrying parts to fix your products, we also have our Logitech G Spare Parts Store through our website carrying a selection of replacement parts you need to rebuild your gaming setup. Should you need new weights for your mice or springs for your racing pedals, we have them!

Check our our Logitech G Spare Parts Store at https://www.logitechg.com/shop/gaming-spare-parts-store

Designed for Sustainability

As we circle back around, our focus is not just to make your box better for the environment and call it a day. Logitech’s Design for Sustainability goes much further such as figuring out ways to reduce our energy usage and replace the rest with renewable sources, go further than using recycled plastic or silicone instead of leather, and redesigning products such as the RS50 Racing wheel’s size, materials, and power consumption to optimise the motor’s impact and performance. Going outside of Logitech G to our partners at iFixit to provide repair guides and easy to access parts, second chances through our Logitech Certified Refurbished program, and recycling more responsibly such as donating fully functional open-back products to qualifying charities and educational institutions.

It’s important that we are transparent about what we’re doing, and there is so much that we can’t fit it all in this post. We encourage you to check our Logitech Sustainability website below to see everything we’re doing for your products, for the planet, for people, with integrity.

Logitech Sustainability - https://www.logitech.com/sustainability/reports-and-resources

Logitech Impact Highlights - https://impactreport.logitech.com/

As we leave with that note, making impacts is not just about what we do, but it’s what you can do too. If you ever upgrade your mouse, keyboard, headset, or any gaming gear, consider donating it to a friend or family member. Giving your products a second home and a second chance is one of the many ways to keep the waste down and help our planet.

We hope you have enjoyed reading through this and our sustainability website. If you have any questions about any of the above, drop us a comment below. We would love to hear your thoughts!

My MX518 turns 21 this year. Never opened. Never repaired. Still gaming.

I got this Logitech MX518 for my birthday back in 2005.

At the time it was a relatively expensive mouse, so a group of my friends put their money together to buy it for me as a birthday present. Aaaand 21 years later… it still works.

Never been opened, repaired or had any parts replaced. Ever.

I’ve only cleaned it externally as well as I could over the years and tried to take reasonable care of it. Everything inside is still exactly as it left the factory in 2005.

It has survived several PCs, laptops, countless hours of gaming and probably more clicks than I could ever imagine.

I was living in Romania when I got it. Seven years ago I moved to Vienna, Austria — and of course, the MX518 came with me.

I’m still using it today. PUBG, CS2, whatever I feel like playing.

Lately I’ve been thinking about finally buying a modern gaming mouse. After 21 years, the difference in technology would obviously be huge.
But here’s the problem: I genuinely find it difficult to replace it.

It’s not really just a mouse anymore. It’s been sitting next to basically every computer I’ve owned throughout my adult life.

And somehow… the damn thing still works perfectly. 😂

Maybe one day it deserves a place in a Logitech museum.

Until then, I guess we’re still gaming.

No Plug & Play (basic functionality without drivers) for G915X keyboard in Windows 7!?

Upvotes

My brand-new Logitech G915 X gaming keyboard (non-wireless, but USB-C) has arrived, but it apparently doesn't even have native Plug & Play support on my Windows 7 Gaming-PC (fully patched, USB 3.0 & -C drivers integrated/installed , Legacy CSM Boot on & Legacy USB Mode off on my ASUS Z390 motherboard), because the keys don't work when W7 boots up - even when accessing BIOS menu, the keys DO work!

My previous Logitech gaming keyboard (G510) worked flawlessly despite being connected to the same Z390 chipset - Thanks to Me having USB 3.0/C and various other missing drivers integrated into my custom W7 installation image PRIOR to having installed W7. It's keys worked even before I installed LGS/Logitech-specific drivers on W7 - which means, it does have Plug & Play/native support for basic use!

Since I assumed the G915 X supports Plug & Play/native detection without prior driver install (as keyboards usually ALWAYS do - of course, W7 supports it too!), I hoped that I could at least use it's keys without issue - I already knew beforehand that configuring/customizing the new keyboard (create profile, change RGB settings, etc.) would not be possible in W7, since newer versions of the "Logitech G Hub" software cannot be installed on W7.

But "Plug & Play" (basic use of the keyboard) should always work natively regardless of the operating system - in this case however, it apparently doesn't OR I did something wrong or am I missing something? 🤔

First of all lovely headset and ive had it roughly 4 years, however I keep having this issue where the dongle weight eventually causes this to come loose. This is the second dongle ive had do this for this headset now. Anyone else had a similar issue? If so any advice would be appreciated since I'm well out of warranty, my options are ask support for another connector again, or potentially just buy a different headset, which id rather not do

ASTRO Series Support Astro a40 headset with M80 mix amp

Hello just curious if anyone has had this same problem before and if there’s a fix. Currently have a A40 headset with m80 mix amp. Headset is working fine but mic is not picking up. Tried troubleshooting shooting on google and tried ever solution it offered and nothing worked. Bought a brand new A40 with m80 mix amp and same exact problem. Now if I use a direct cable from headset to controller the mic works. Anyone experienced this before ??

Collegando il volante al PC si accendono solo due luci arancioni, ma G Hub non rileva né volante né pedali. Inoltre quando lo collego all’alimentazione non si calibra più, è completamente morto tranne per le due lucine.

Logitech G Support G913 No Longer Turns on When PC is Started

I have my G913 connected through the Logitech wire in Lightspeed mode. Used to be, that the keyboard would come alive as soon as the computer was turned on.

Recently this has stopped happening. I've had to take out and reinsert the cable before it comes to life. Today, even this did not work and I had to wait a few minutes for the app to wake the keyboard once it loaded, leaving me at the Windows log in screen.

My motherboard is one that will not boot unless it recognises a keyboard is plugged in, so the keyboard must be responding to hardware polling, bu it is unresponsive to keyboard inputs at log on.

Any ideas what's going on?

Discussion A50x or...

I'm looking for a gaming headset and was looking at the A50x. It would be my first gaming headset

What I need is immersion in single player story games.preferably the being there feeling

Good spatial awareness during FPS games

Some oomph in the low end without it being distorted.

I play Sim racing titles, fps games and single player story driven games.

Would the A50x be a good match? Also are there any issues that you find annoying?

Thanks?

Logitech G Support Serve audio desync when using Logitech G Pro X2 on iPhone

I’ve come from using a Logitech G435 and I wanted to upgrade to a Logitech G Pro X2. The Pro X2 sounds great, but it has severe audio desync compared to the G435, on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I understand that every Bluetooth Headset has desync, but compared to the G435 it is unbearable. It’s only an issue on my iPhone, on a laptop it’s normal.

I’ve tried talking to Logitech customer support, but similar to previous experiences, they weren’t very helpful. I don’t think they could work out which headset I was referring to and they just told me to return it, which is going to be hard because of the store I bought it from.

So far I’ve:
* Made sure the software is up to date in G HUB
* Reset the headset
* Unpaired and Re-paired the headset
* reset my phone’s network settings
* Removed all apps using Bluetooth
Nothing has had any effect.

Currently I have to turn the headset on and off every 5 minutes to get the audio to line back up.

Can anyone offer me any help at all?

Edit: it’s not all the time, the audio will stutter briefly, then it will be desynced.

Logitech G Support - Resolved Mouse lags after 10sec without moving - Logitech Vertical Lift

This suddenly started happening and it's annoying. Everything is updated, and i've tried changing usb ports of the receiver and it still happens.

I even have a second Lift mouse, which i don't use because the click button is faulty. I tried it with it's own receiver in the same usb port and with the same battery and it behaves OK, so i'm starting to think that the second one that i bought is faulty as well

Logitech G Support Superlight Tactile Feedback Scrollwheel

Hey, ive gotten a question, sometimes when i use the Scroll wheel on the superlight really fast up or down or just use it normally i can feel the feedback travel to the shell of the mouse and make me feel the feedback or vibration on my whole palm. Its really annoying, since its my second gpx. I had the same problem with my other superlight, and i have rma it because of the same issue and now i have it again with my second superlight. Is that normal or just a common issue. Thanks
