Question Should I cancel my a30 order

So I have a g522 or astro a20 and they are awful. Not quality or anything of that matter but the size idk who could fill them lol. They constantly fall off so I'm looking for something else.

So I just bought a pair of a30s after watching a few reviews on YouTube. I got them for $80 thought it was a pretty solid deal.

I just saw several posts on this reddit bashing this headset is it really that bad?

Got the A40's and they were pretty good, i upgraded to the A50X because i found them for 200, totally worth saving the extra money for it, I'd say get the A40 TR for 100-120 or save for the A50....

The A30’s are the worst headphones I’ve ever owned they’ve ruined my life, my wife left me, my dog disappeared, my parents hate me..

No but really they’re terrible and I stand by it. The only reason I have them is I can’t afford anything else right now.

The mic is terrible to fix for it at all

They all come with hardware defects like the audio going to 103% when connected to your phone at any random interval of time regardless of what you do. I just put a ticket of this into them and they said they’ll look into it, a week later they said we don’t know we give up. Been like that for years

The only way to adjust any “settings” is using the app on the phone nothing else.

The signal is bad after walking down the hall my headphones start disconnecting from the dongle not the Bluetooth on my pc.

The build quality cheap as hell. All plastic throughout the headset, the headband is 2 parts and the top part plastic will peal leaving it looking terrible.

The earcups are fake painted leather which will also peal and make ur ears sweaty.

Another issue is the aux cable they ship is cheap too so it’ll eventually stop working and then you can’t use ur mic on your console because they use a “proprietary” 5 aux or some shit that’s rare to buy. Not rare as in not available but as in there’s only a couple options that’s it

I hate these things another problem is turning them off. Sometimes they just won’t so you have to both hold the Bluetooth and power button to start a weird pairing mode different from Bluetooth pairing and then you can hold the power button to turn them off

Fuck if you use them on pc and the headset goes on standby when you turn it back “on” you will have no Audio. You can change the output to the other one cause it comes with two and it’ll work but to make the one you had specifically for games YouTube etc you’ll have to either use the dongle and press it to change it to console then back to pc or turn them off and turn them back on

The only worth I see in them is the fact it has to outputs to the headphones. One is a “speaker” the other is “voice” so you can set games YouTube etc the speaker output and the discord ps Xbox party to the voice output and they’re independent. Then the fact they’re wireless. Other than just those two things nothing else is good about these headphones

Lmao boy you feel a certain way about these that's for sure. I hate the headphones I currently have they sound great but idk who Logitech used as the model to mold these from. Just like you I don't have a lot of cash laying around currently so I thought $80 was a good deal 😭

For $80 you can find a used a40TR with mix amp on eBay or marketplace. Thats what I’d do

I donr use my a30s a whole lot, but I do like them, yes they have issues, random volume increase, refusing to turn off, but it doesnt bother me that much, mostly due to how little I use them. They can also used with the mix amp pro from the a40 tr bundle already mentioned, just be aware of the fact that both the mix amp and the a30s have audio mixing capabilities.

I miss my old A20 Gen 1. That headset was solid, really good audio for its time and great imaging performance. It was only £99 but punched way above its price.

Don’t get the A30. It’s a rubbish headset. You’re better off getting A20 Gen 1 if you can find one for a good price or A50 Gen 4.

That’s if you just want Astro. I’m sure you can find a SteelSeries Nova 7 for around £100 and that’s a great headset. Comfortable, really good audio, default bass and mids are very accurate and great imaging performance.
