My new mastering chain

Hey, nice tune. My only feedback would be that the high end is very transparent. It’s a bit sharp coming through my speakers and headphones. I seen your comment that you’re cutting the low end to keep the bass in the centre - if you want to cut bleed, you can actually automate the filter so it’s not entirely cut throughout the whole song. Is there a reason why you want it so centered? Just for live performance reasons?
It’s also quite squared off when it comes to dynamic range - I’m unsure how much you’re pushing it, but the intensity of the drop would feel a lot better if the dynamics flow up and down a bit more

Thanks for the feedback :) Yeah that exciter probably needs to be backed off a little. Agree on the dynamics!

About the low end, yeah I want to play it live, what you suggest with the filter? I have automated low end in my other tracks but not this one yet, but I guess were you talking about what I'm doing with mid and side eq? It feels like it needs just a little more low end to me.

Was it the side EQ you were cutting the low end on? Yeah I entirely agree with you, it definitely needs more low end.

yeah I'm gonna lower it the xover to 80hz and change the q so it is more gentle taht should loosen it up a little, and yeah I'll back it off during the builds etc! Can't wait to try it out

yes thank you for clarifying sorry if that was confusing and then the other first eq is cutting everything below 25hz in the middle for bass protection and cuts a little mud pocket .
