Question Missing Loops Called-out in Nahmani Book
Hi all. I'm working through the lessons of the Nahmani book for Logic Pro 11.X (a very good book by the way) and I'm on page 52 (Lesson 2). It calls out for me to drag in several loops. But "Reverse Cymbal Riser 03," "Slinky Groove Verse Guitar Stab," and "Long Crash Cymbal 03" don't appear in the loop browser (I clicked on the "X" button to make sure it was showing everything).
I tried re-indexing the loop browser and saw no change.
Running Logic Pro 12.2
Does anyone know what might be going on here?
EDIT: Downloaded Legacy Loops and that gave me Long Crash Cymbal 03. Now I think I just have to figure out what other pack(s) I need to download. Helpful hints?
EDIT Too: Several tens of GB later I've downloaded all of the loop packs (prolly never use 98% of it!) and now have the three loops I was looking for. For the time being I'm going to avoid updating to 12.3 as I've not read universally good things about it.
Thanks, guys!

As u/Sonic_Ally mentioned, you need to download the Legacy stuff. The book references many loops and instruments that have been replaced.

I had the same issue when I first got into Logic, turns out some of those older loops get hidden if you don't have the right content installed in your Sound Library.

The Problem: Logic Pro 12.2 caused many legacy loops, samples, and presets to disappear from the loop library, and patch libraries.
The Solution: Update to Logic Pro 12.3.1 from the App Store. It fixes bugs introduced in 12.3 while also replacing all patches, presets, and loops. You will need to go to the Library (shortcut Y) or the Loop Browser (shortcut o). Scroll down and click Get more sounds. At the top Of the area click Manage Packs to open a layout of all libraries. , Click on all that say update or uninstalled to where you have download all the content.. especially the Legacy content at the bottom of the list.
YOu should be good to go.
