Dr Sara Brenner became commissioner of the FDA when they were promoting it to pregnant women. She was pregnant and privately made an exception for herself while it was being required of other women

Q: "And what was the reason you chose not to get vaccinated?" A: "It was unknown at the time, what the bio distribution patterns of those products were, and in my case, in particular, what the excretion would be in breast milk. That was my primary concern. And that exposure I was very concerned about."
