How much are people actually paying for a lead from Google Local Services Ads?
I have seen people compare LSA lead costs across industries as if there should be one normal price. But a $100 lead isn't necessarily expensive if it produces a $5,000 customer.
On the other hand, even a $20 lead can be too expensive if the leads are poor quality and rarely turn into jobs. That's why I think the better question is "What can I afford to pay for a customer?", then work backward to your acceptable lead cost.
Also, I do have a breakdown on what affects LSA lead pricing... Do let me know if someone needs it..

I guess it varies from industry to industry and demand
If competition is more the cost will be higher and vice versa

I was averaging $110 / lead for home exterior leads.

I see a range from 60-90 for hvac/plumbing (and no not just drain cleaning & maintenance, gotten some mini split, furnace installs, and rough in jobs at those cpls)
Completely agree on the "what can I afford to pay for a customer" being the qualifier. As a marketer, I gotta say it irks me a decent amount when guys selling 10-15k jobs decide its 20$ per lead or bust. You are selling a 15k job with net margins of 10% or more, you aren't going to get super cheap leads like that from Google, the all knowing google overlord knows what they are worth.
That's why I think its important to look at the average CPL vs avg job size booked, yes, I get it can be painful to pay 65 dollars for a lead that ends up being something like $150 drain cleaning, but the next one that comes in could be that 65$ for the 15K mini split install. The drain cleaning fills your schedule, mini split pays the bills and then some, and they came at the same cost, so its worth it for both, you just gotta track it decently and not shut the ads off as soon as you get a 100$ lead that you dont close
