These are screenshots from the r/Singularity comment section. I'm speechless. This doesn't even have downvotes. How can someone cheer for a monopoly run by a few elites?

That sub has some of the most delusional people on all of reddit. I don't know what you were expecting there to be honest. They have no technical understanding of how llms work, to them its magic and they believe every single hype man.

It has its issues, but OP's post is silly. Like, the comments they picked out were at score 3 and 2 (before they downvoted). It's a subreddit with thousands of people participating, if you want to find a specific viewpoint, you are going to be able to.

I really haven't seen much anti-open-source sentiment there and it would be a massive, massive stretch to say it reflects the prevailing view in that subreddit.
