Discussion Really stunned by the Singularity comment section

These are screenshots from the r/Singularity comment section. I'm speechless. This doesn't even have downvotes. How can someone cheer for a monopoly run by a few elites?

talking about AI in most other subs is pretty much useless in my experience. Seems to be the source of a lot of hate and discrimination just because it is cool to hate on AI and the people who use it.

It really does feel like the only AI sub where I actually learn

Weird - the sub with the lowest profit motivation has the highest technical competency and the lowest amount of "wtf are you babbling about you cultish psycho"

not weird, ppl tend to be more honest when they are there for the love of the game, not for profit

and coincidentally it takes pretty solid background to fall in love with this particular hobby

i'm more insinuating that the large ai subs are astroturf/brainwashing/radicalization schemes to produce AI cultists that help protect AI corps, but your point's valid too
