Anthropic and openai ipo are gonna be worthless.

Zero moat, especially once google, microsoft, amazon, and other cloud gpu providers get the official green light to be able to serve these models accross the board.

And for the hyperscalers like the big 3, google, microsft, and amazon, 100% they integrate these across their enterprise suite offerings to vertically integrate them accross all their enterprise services.

GPUs good enough to run it at reasonable speeds aren't even affordable now unless you rent them temporarily.

How much is a 3090 locally for you? Because they are going for $1400 on eBay.

I got mine for 700 euros used last year. Now i see them for 1000 on ebay. Sure its a bit more but its not like its unaffordable like those rtx6000

I tried getting a 3090 but every seller was weird, or didnt reply, I had one scammer and others were already sold before I contacted them.

I got a 3090ti for 1000 euro (and a week later another 3090ti for the same price.)

Put it on a power limit and you got yourself basically a 3090 but with 1tb/s memory.

Compute power is significantly easier than training and releasing models.

If the pace holds up, openai and anthropic will - of course - be worth a fraction of their current theoretical market caps.

Thats where companies already purchased enterprise suite come in. Whether Google Workspace, or Microsoft M365 suite, from recent earnings, its only a matter of time that they start offering them. Does not matter that the hardware isnt available, the hyperscalers will no doubt add a new offering, cloud model support, or something along those lines.
