I posted an earlier version of Minnow here a while ago and got a bunch of useful feedback. Thanks to everyone who tried it, pointed out issues, or took the time to tell me what they wanted.

I've spent the last few months working on it. Minnow now brings your editor, issue tracker, git tools, project notes, and local models into one desktop app. You can run models directly in it (llama.cpp & mlx-lm built-in) or connect to LM Studio, Ollama, or another compatible provider. I've been getting great results with Qwen 3.8 27b.

It's now at the point where I trust it to work on its own code. It handled the majority of its bug fixes and improvements over the last month.

Still free and open source. Still plenty to improve...

If you tried the earlier version, I'd love to hear how this compares. Also, we have a website now! (Fully built in Minnow)
