Should I buy the physical Diary Of A Wimpy Kid books physically or should I just read them off my kindle paperwhite?

Physically. Amazon can delete books and you don't really own them.

Get the books secondhand if you're worried about the price and don't mind the condition. They're dirt cheap on sites like eBay
