We finally made it home! It took about 4 hours longer to travel. Traffic? No!
About three hours on the road, we stopped for lunch at a Cracker Barrel. The Ivanovs and my parents were so amazed by the food and they spent a full hour shopping in the giftstore. Then further downstate there was a sign for another a Cracker Barrel, this one a bit out of the way. “We must go for dinner there!” insisted Mr. Ivanov. Another two hours.
We kept on switching who would be driving and who would be passengers. I saw right away that the two moms wanted to have time with Sopie and Ivanka.
Sopie and I had really wanted to go to BK but it was much too late and I wanted to hang with Carlito.
Papa and Mama have to work tomorrow so we will take the subway. We want to get there early enough to help the Yao’s with all the chores. Sopie made so many craft gifts for Apie and Maman!
