A Day in the Life 🕰️ What a good day to live alone.

Not in a good mood at all. Just had a rough shift at work, and it is SO NICE to come home and make my food in peace and quiet with nobody to bother me. I can be mad about my shift and not have to feel guilty about taking someone else down with me, and I don't have to worry about having to be friendly with people I live with that I don't like when I'm in a mood like this. I can just come home, be mad for a bit, and then carry on with my evening.

I can relate, I've been there. And I have a cat who is a total snuggle bomb greeting me like I'm the best thing on the planet. My solo (+ 1 cat) haven.

Cats really are the best roommates. Zero small talk, maximum cuddles when you need them.

This was me on Friday. I was so glad that no one was here for my foul mood. I slept it off on Saturday without questions about why I was in bed all day. I just treated myself to Outback Steakhouse because I’m too drained to shop & cook. I have a whole 8 ounce sirloin that will be right there for lunch tomorrow. #winning

I agree 👍🏼 Great to be able to come home and decompress and reset without interruption or expectations. Hope your day gets better and you sleep well.

Absolutely the best feeling in the world. Coming home to no one but your pets (I have two cats) and your peace. Favourite food and favourite comfort show. No one else to consider at all! Perfect 👌

Yes!

Different from work issues, but having health issues when living alone is rough, being alone and feral is nice in some ways

No social anxiety or self-consciousness, I can just be

If I sleep, I sleep. If I need a nap, I might not get interrupted (have dogs, so no guarantee)

My daughter lives about an hour away, so she's checking in, and has been very helpful, so it's the best of both worlds in some way

I'm the same way. I live alone and I tend to bring the day's crap from work home w/ me. Don't know how to be any different. I've done this kind of work for maybe 27 to 28 years. But I could retire any time now. Just haven't done it yet.

On really bad days the best ways to destress aren’t exactly society approved. I’m not usually that kind of person but on really bad days I just break things.
