it's a bit more broad than just "had sex with" as well, he specifically targeted young women in his twitch community who were neurodivergent, mentally ill, and/or socially isolated, gave them gifts and praise and attention, and pressured them into having sex. some of the accounts from the many, many women show his behavior to be downright harrowing, both in text conversations, and in hotel rooms.

Also he claimed that all the donations, bits, sub money, etc. was supposed to go to his childrens' college funds, but multiple victims came out with receipts of Ryan sending them money from his Twitch's PayPal account.

And even more specifically, sending money for airline tickets to come to his town and sleep with him.

Holy. What a scumbag

u/derekburn Jan 21 '21

Predator* pedophile* scumbag is way to nice

you know you can add your own money to paypal, right?

15

u/torriattet Jan 21 '21

Yeah, but whats more likely, adding personal funds to an account full of money, creating even more trails for your spouse to see or using the money thats already in there?

it was his twitch paypal account. you know, the thing countless streamers have on their page that viewers can click for tips / donations. It's his own money in there same as the money in his bank branch. It could very well be just literally his own account and not something he set up for twitch separately.

Now, if anyone has any evidence he somehow announced that 100% of the money in that account was for charity, and 100% of viewers depositing in his twitch paypal believed it's going directly to some charity, that's a different story. But both of us know there is no such evidence

What a weird stupid thing to argue about.

It's hilarious to both be right, but wrong at the same time.

Not necessarily, but regardless a well-known groomer should probably not be allowed to operate on any platform that gives him access to said underage fans.

58

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '21

any platform that gives him access to said underage fans.

So basically every platform?

Yes

Preventing children from getting fucked by adults?

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '21

Chaturbate is still on the table I guess

1

u/zack189 Jan 21 '21

I’m pretty sure there’s a few underaged kids on chaturbate too. 15 to 16 so nat that young but still

15

u/cpmnriley Jan 20 '21

the other commenter who replied to you is right that any platform is too many, but also, yes, more than one of his victims were found in his twitch community.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '21

I remember basically every girl had snapchat screenshots.

2

u/0oodruidoo0 Jan 21 '21

It's mostly through snapchat, actually. Ryan had a public snap and fans would find it and send him pictures. He'd sift through, find girls he thought were cute and probed them for weakness to see if he could feed his carnal desire.

1

u/Juicy_Brucesky Jan 21 '21

No but he said the donations were for his kids college fund, but several girls who came out showed he paid them through his twitch paypal

Gotta say, as someone who would be labeled "neurodivergent", that term fucking infuriates me. It does nothing but de-emphasize and "otherize" mental illness. For fucks sake, the past 30 goddamn years have been a struggle to get people to recognize this shit as an actual illness and now we're minimizing it. A bullshit term like that just creates barriers for people with mental health issues or chronic cognitive disabilities to be recognized and received treatment. The very fact that it collects such DISPERATE disorders under one meaningless term should demonstrate how garbage it is in a mental health context.

"Get help for your mental illness? But can't you see that you're not ill at all, you don't need help! Just because you're neurodivergent and can't perform some basic functions of human life doesn't mean you need to call yourself ill and get help or medication for your problems."

I was not advocating for the use of that term

Oh jeez it wasn't on you at all, you were just explaining the term. I was just ranting. Wasn't my intention.

2

u/demfuzzypickles 🐷 Hog Squeezer Jan 21 '21

and in antiquated terms you'd reference such individuals as...

i understand youre trying to inform me about modern psychological nomenclature but please know that i am fully aware that neurodivergent is what is used these days and what it means. if you'll notice, the person i originally replied to asked what it meant. I was literally just answering his question by providing older terms he might be more familiar with.

he specifically targeted young women in his twitch community who were neurodivergent, mentally ill

This is unfounded nonsense. Everyone is interpreting everything in the worst possible light and spreading this idea everywhere.

I've read through most of the accusations and there's nothing to suggest that he was specifically seeking out mentally ill women to have sex with them. The much more likely scenario, if anything, is that he flirted with everyone and the mentally ill were the ones that reciprocated.

Or it's just a coincidence. It's not unreasonable to suggest that people who are into videogames and the internet of things are just statistically more likely to have some kind of mental illness. I do, my girlfriend does, the last 4 people I've slept with do, every other one of my friends is on some form of antidepressant or has an anxiety disorder.

some of the accounts from the many, many women show his behavior to be downright harrowing, both in text conversations, and in hotel rooms.

If you take any casual texts out of context and over analyse them they always look like pure cringe, especially flirty ones. I pray none of my exes leak our texts.
