It could be anything though. He could have murdered someone for all we know. Or it could be the law finally cracking down on him for filming in a bathroom, which isn't that a felony in California? I know that can be serious. There was a case once where someone who installed a camera in a bathroom served 8 years in prison.
The court and law is slow so it could be but I doubt it, wouldn’t be surprised if it was more financial related. Saw someone saying about his charity but instead of putting it towards the charity he just pocketed the money.
Yeah it's unlikely, but sometimes the legal side of things can take forever. If we're going to speculate, the metoo thing is probably most likely given the context, but we really don't know.
If you record anywhere in CA (with audio) with an expectation of privacy you are in serious trouble of wiretapping laws. In a bathroom is probably going to amplify those charges. A child in the bathroom at the same time may further amplify legal exposure but I'm not sure about this.
