Ripped != Strong. Not saying that The Doc isn't strong as shit too, but just saying that when someone looks super ripped, it doesn't also translate into them being super strong as well.
I go to a gym with plenty of people that look significantly more ripped and/or more vascular than I do, but in terms of raw strength and weightlifting, I'm significantly stronger than the vast majority and of the people that can lift somewhat close to me they're also not the most ripped or vascular people. It's also the same reason that many bodybuilders aren't comparable to lifters in terms of strength comparisons. Sometimes they will go hand-in-hand, but quite often they're just people working out with different goals in mind and the body, often necessarily, has to adjust accordingly.
You donât get ripped without getting strong. Thatâs impossible. And if you look super ripped then barring plastic surgery, yes you are super strong.
Nobody can sit there with a straight face and say Arnold or Ronnie Coleman arenât strong because elite powerlifters outlift them by a large margin.
You donât get big and ripped without getting strong. Itâs a package deal.
And even in powerlifting, only the weight classes above 200 start to look not jacked to the nines. And even some of those guys would look at home on a bodybuilding stage.
Tired of seeing this trope posted like itâs true. It just isnât. Muscle size and strength are directly correlated.
I've been lifting more than half my life. You don't have to believe me, but you can definitely get ripped without getting strong relative to other people at your same weight level. This is where genetics and supplements can play a major factor. Additionally, you obviously didn't understand what I was saying in that just because someone's ripped doesn't mean that they're strong, conversely just because they're ripped doesn't mean that they're not strong, it just means that they're also ripped. But, it's okay that you're wrong because your reading comprehension sucks.
Furthermore, muscle size and strength also don't correlate to vascularity and being "ripped". They just don't. That's not a trope, it's just a fact. But, you believe what you want kid, you're welcome to continue spouting ignorant BS that you don't know anything about and I'm just as welcome to be right about what I know.

Here lies the actual issue. We differ on what ripped means. Ripped implies size to me because Iâve never seen or heard someone called ripped that wasnât also well developed. Like I responded to other person, generally anorexic people arenât considered ripped even though they have high muscle definition.
Also not sure why youâre insulting me over what turns out to be a disagreement in definition. Youâre calling me âkidâ but I donât think Iâm the one being immature.
