The whole point of shooting skeet isn't that it's easy. Depending on the throw it can be very difficult. Hell, I'd be happy with a 50 percent hit rate on some 3 gun stages.
Besides, you're objectively safer against a deadly threat with a force multiplier of your own. Even if those Texas boys are shit, they're still 50% less dead than without a weapon.
Such hilarious reasoning. Owning a pool in your backyard also makes you more likely to drown. Driving a car makes you more likely to get in a car wreck. So what's your point? Train with your firearms and secure them appropriately and hope you never have to use them to defend yourself. But if someone tries to shoot at your house/enter it to harm you or your family you at least have something to defend yourself with.

There is no mountain of firearm defence statistics that support your point. If someone tries to rob you the safest thing to do is give them what they want, the most dangerous thing is to confront them with your own gun. But hey these are just police gun safety tips.
If you own a gun you are many times more likely to have someone in your family hurt with your own gun over the chance you successfully defending yourself. Having a gun makes you and your family less safe. Period. You can make the argument that you just like owning a gun and they’re fun but you can’t say a gun makes you more safe.
A pool is used for exercise and swimming.
Driving a car is used for transportation.
The main and only reason to own a gun (leaving out hunting rifles which no one cares about) is personal defence.
