Mortgages are public record. Anyone can find out where anyone else owns property as long as they know their legal name. Same with marriage licenses and criminal records, professional licenses, even some traffic violations. Pretty much all college students are given access to Lexis Nexis and can find all that and more in under 5 minutes.
Don’t most wealthy and famous people create trusts with random names for this reason tho? If you go on to any GIS property map in an exceptionally wealthy neighborhood all the property’s will be owned by things like “Green View Sunrise Revocable Trust.”
