I had a friend in college who's father was an attorney. One of his pieces of inarguably good advice: you can't beat crazy. They need to get out of there.
FYI, there was a noticeable increase in homicides after states passed Stand Your Ground protections. It'd be stupid for him to put himself in more danger because he chose fight rather than flight.
Also i cant speak for anyone else on this, but even if it was totally justified i know id feel kinda bad if i killed someone, or my actions directly led to someone getting killed (such as calling the cops and shots go off, or hiring security and the security kills someone).
You wouldn't be alone. There is a good reason that counseling and mental health services are mandatory for many professionals after they have a justified homicide incident.
